A Spoonful of Sugar
Written for the @steddie-spooktober day thirteen prompt “superstition” | wc: 637 | rated: T | cw: none | tags: fluff, domesticity, early relationship, getting to know each other, implied sexual content
———
Steve stumbles into his kitchen, bleary-eyed and sleep-stiff, to find Eddie rummaging through the Harringtons’ cabinets for mugs. The coffee maker burbles cheerfully on the countertop.
“I was supposed to make you breakfast!” Steve pouts, crossing his arms over his bare torso.
“You already let me stay over,” Eddie argues, sidling up to him wearing nothing but a pair of Steve’s boxers and a cheeky grin. “Stop trying to be a good host and start being a good boyfriend.” He leans in for a kiss.
Self-consciously, Steve flinches away with a hand over his mouth. “I haven’t brushed my teeth yet,” he mumbles.
“Baby,” Eddie laughs, “I have morning breath, too. Plus I know where your mouth has been and it doesn’t bother me.”
He lets his hand fall to rest at his side, where Eddie catches it and laces their fingers together. “Are you sure?”
“Try me.” Eddie leans in again, lips pursed exaggeratedly.
Steve smiles and meets him in a languid kiss. Both of their mouths are sour and stale, but Steve finds it hard to care when Eddie is licking into his mouth, warm and wet, and they’re surrounded by the scent of freshly brewed coffee. It’s sweetly domestic in a way that makes butterflies erupt inside him.
A little bashfully, Steve tells him, “I think I started us off on the wrong foot earlier. I meant to say, ‘Good morning, sweetheart, thank you for the coffee.’”
“Mm, apology accepted.” Eddie gives him a final peck before pushing Steve in the direction of the stools along the breakfast bar. “Now go sit and I’ll get your coffee. Just a splash of cream and a dash of sugar, right?” he asks over his shoulder.
Slumped against the island, Steve watches him work, pulling milk out of the refrigerator and grabbing a spoon to stir with. Curiously, Eddie takes the sugar bowl first, ladling a generous dollop into his own mug before putting a much more reasonable amount into Steve’s. Only then does he pour the coffee, top Steve’s with milk, and give both mugs an enthusiastic stir.
“I’ve never seen anyone put the sugar in before the coffee,” Steve observes as Eddie puts the milk back and wipes down the counter where his stirring had caused a spill.
“Really? I guess I never thought about it that much.” Eddie sits their mugs down and settles into the stool beside Steve, scooting close enough for their bare knees to touch.
Steve watches him over the top of his mug as he takes a sip. Perfect, just enough cream and sugar to cut the bitterness without overpowering the flavor of the coffee. “Mmmm. Keep making me coffee like that and I’ll never question your methods again.”
Eddie smiles and raises his own mug like he’s toasting him. “I can’t take credit, it’s just how Wayne’s always done it. He says it’s supposed to be good luck, start the day on a sweet note or whatever. I mostly do it because I use so much sugar. If I poured the coffee first and then dumped a whole tablespoon of sugar into it, I’d make an even worse mess than I already do.” He grins at Steve. “Not that a little extra luck could hurt.”
It feels strangely intimate to learn these little details about Eddie. Never mind the hours they’d spent exploring each other’s bodies the previous evening; that pales in comparison to the feeling Steve has here in his kitchen, sitting in the morning sunlight and talking about Eddie’s superstitious coffee habits. It’s not some kind of deep, dark secret, but Steve feels like he’s been entrusted with something precious nonetheless.
Steve raises his mug in response. “To good luck and good coffee.”
With any luck, this will be the first of many mornings they share together.

Arguments and Cuddles-Harry Styles x reader
Tumblr media
A/N:- Wanted to write this a few days ago, but I just couldn't get myself to write after all that has happened. Sending lots of hugs to everyone. Hope this acts a distraction to anyone who needs it right now.
Synopsis: Harry doesn't realize that you're sick when he starts an argument and takes care of you after. Some angst and fluff!
Word Count: 2k
_________________________________________
“y/n..” Your tall, lanky boyfriend makes grabby hands at you from the bed, snug and comfortable under the blanket. He didn’t want to fall asleep without you. You felt bad for making him wait, you really did, but you couldn’t go to bed without finishing your assignment. University has been stressing you out these days, what with two projects every week, along with other papers, studying and you even have to start filling out internship forms.
“Five more minutes, baby, I’m so sorry..”, you turn back from the desk to tell Harry who was pouting at you, hoping to win you over with cuteness, which he already has.
“It’s okay, love. I don’t mind waiting but it’s you I’m worried about. If you’re not here in my arms sleeping in the next ten minutes, no kisses for you tomorrow.”, he threatens, and smirks when you gasp. “That’s unfair!”
“You better hurry up then.”, Harry says, picking up his phone and settling back with his head on the pillow. It took you exactly seven more minutes to complete the assignment.
“I’m done! You can’t deny me kisses now.” You keep your laptop away before falling into Harry’s open arms. You sigh as your head hits the soft pillow, and you realize just how exhausted you are when you feel your heavy eyelids.
“I don’t think I ever can.”, Harry hums, chuckling as you snuggle into his chest like a little kitten seeking comfort. His arms hold you snug to his chest as his face lowers to press soft kisses to your hair and your cheeks. “I missed you.”
You know he didn’t just mean today. It’s been almost two weeks since you’ve been in this hectic schedule and you haven’t been able to see Harry as often. You’re either too tired or have lots of work to do after you get home from uni, so you haven’t been spending much time with your boyfriend.
You bring a hand up to cup his cheek, your thumb stroking over his soft skin. “I’m sorry, babe. I miss you too. I  just have so much to do and-”, you sigh.
“-Hey, I understand love, know you’re working hard.”, he rubs circles onto your lower back and you almost moan at how good it feels. “I’m just worried about you. You barely sleep, barely eat during the day, step out of the house only to go to uni…”
“I do eat and sleep.”, you tell him, pecking his pink lips. “It’s gonna be hectic only for another week, the projects should be over by then.”
He hummed. “Would you be free tomorrow night? It’s Friday. Mitch and Sarah have been wanting to meet you.”
Mitch and Sarah were two of his best friends, and you’ve wanted to meet them too. Like he said, it was Friday, so you’d have time to catch up on your studies on Saturday and Sunday. Harry was just asking you, but you could see he really wanted you to go. You haven’t had a night out in a while too, so you agree.
“Okay, I’ll meet them.”
Harry cheers, making you giggle and kiss his cheek. “They’re so excited to meet you! I love you.”
________________________________________________
You weren’t expecting to fall sick when you got up that morning. You did feel a little less energetic, but that was normal by now, so you brushed it off. You attended your classes, and when it was around lunch time, your throat was parched even though you kept sipping on water and your eyes were getting watery.
You didn’t feel like eating, so you skipped lunch, which led to a headache and you were just feeling horrible when you got back home that day. You were relieved to be back, and you fell into bed immediately, not bothering to change. God, you hated being sick. It makes you so weak and you can’t get anything done. You take a small nap, hoping to wake up feeling better.
You had kept an alarm to wake up an hour and a half before the time Harry said he would come to pick you up for the night out, but you slept right through it. You didn’t wake up even when Harry stepped into your flat, using your other pair of keys and called out your name.
He was ten minutes late himself, and he was surprised to see that you weren’t ready yet.
“y/n?”, he says. “Babe why aren’t you ready, we should be there in twenty minutes!”
You rub your eyes, slowly coming out of sleep. “Oh…shit.”, you remember when you see Harry already standing in front of you. “I s-slept through the alarm.”
“It’s fine, I’ll tell them we’ll be a bit late. You should get ready.”, Harry said, already pulling out his phone.
You sit up, groaning as your muscles ache. Your head was throbbing, and you felt like your body was on your fire. You knew you wouldn’t make it through the night even if you tried.
“Harry? I think you should go alone, I’ll meet them some other time..”, you say softly.
Harry bites his lip. “Seriously? You’re telling me now? I asked you last night, y/n!”
“I know I’m sorry, I just-”
“-I try to be understanding but it’s not gonna work if I’m the only one putting in effort, y/n. I didn’t tell you anything, I didn’t complain about you not spending time with me, I just asked if you could go out with me for one night and you can’t.”, Harry scoffs, walking back and forth.
Your eyes well up with tears from your sickness, and Harry’s words. You get up, even though you felt like you would crumble like a sack of potatoes if you did.
“Harry, I’m sorry, I don’t-”
“-No. I don’t want to hear it, y/n. I talk to them about you all the time and they were so excited to meet you, you know? Now you want to cancel. I don’t get it, what’s going to happen if you go out for one night?” He stops to look at you.
That’s when your head spins. You feel like the whole world is turning upside down and you reach a hand out to grip something, but you only found air.
Harry was fuming, but he only then noticed that you weren’t looking too good. Your skin was pale and prickly with sweat, you were unsteady on your feet and your voice was breaking as you whimpered his name for help, “H-Harry.”
“Fuck.”, he cursed, and rushed to you, strong arms holding you before your knees gave out. You grip his sleeve as he makes you sit back down on the bed. “y/n? Baby, are you okay?”
You manage a weak hum in response. Harry’s hand cups your forehead, pressing your head back against his arm. “Jesus, you’re burning up. Why didn’t you tell me you’re sick?”
If you had the energy, you could have punched him. “Y-You didn’t give me the chance.”
“I’m an asshole.”, Harry muttered, green eyes washing over you with worry as he settles you back into bed.
“You are.”, you agree, shivering as his cold fingers brush against your forehead, stroking back some of your hair. “I really wanted to go out too, you know. I should’ve let you know earlier that I was sick but I thought I could pull through..” You winced, bringing a hand up to your head. You always get bad headaches when you’re sick.
“Shh..did you take any medicine? Should I take you to the doctor?”, Harry asks, pressing a soft kiss to your temple.
“No..think I’ll be fine, just gonna sleep. You should go.”, you said softly.
“Leaving you like this alone? No. I’m gonna take care of you. I’ll call Mitch and let him know we can’t make it. We’ll do it some other time.”
“I really am sorry. I-I was just trying to finish everything during the week so I could spend the weekend with you. Didn’t mean to make you upset, Harry.”, you whisper, and Harry shakes his head, stroking away a small tear that runs down your cheek with your thumb.
“Don’t apologize, love, you did nothing wrong. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. You’re working hard to get where you want to be, and I’ll always support you. I should’ve realized you’re gonna get yourself sick.” He tsked, taking your hand and kissing your fingertips. “Do you forgive me?”
You smiled and nodded, leaning into his side as he wrapped an arm around you. “My poor baby. Are you sure you’re okay? Not dizzy right?”
“Yeah, I’m not dizzy anymore, think I just got up too fast.”, you mumble into his shoulder.
“I’ll get you some medicine and make you some soup. Then we’ll cuddle in bed for the rest of the night.”, Harry says, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Tomorrow, when you’re feeling a bit better, we’re gonna make a proper schedule together, okay? I can’t have you feeling so stressed out and falling ill again.”
“Okay.”, you smile. Harry got out of bed and tucked the blanket over you. You curled up and closed your eyes. “Come back soon..”
“Promise I will.”
He found you some medicine and made you take it, then brought a cold cloth to your forehead. You flinched at the cold, and he hushed you softly, “Shh, relax sweetheart, we’ve gotta get your temperature down.” He lays the cloth across your forehead. “Feels good, doesn’t it?”
After the initial cold, it did feel relaxing. You sigh and hum in agreement. You were getting drowsy again. Harry smiles and kisses your nose. “I’ll be back with your soup by the time you take a little nap.”
Harry wakes you up with a bowl of steaming hot soup after some time, and he helps you sit up, placing pillows behind your back. He slides into bed next to you, holding the tray that had the bowl of soup.
He blows on a spoonful before bringing it to your lips, other hand cupping under your chin to catch any excess that dribbles down. “I tried my best, it’s my mum’s recipe.”, he says, eyes hopeful as you swallow it down.
The hot liquid was soothing for your sore throat, and the flavors were actually very nice. He raises his eyebrows in question.
“It’s really good, thank you.”, you smile, pinching his cheek gently. A grin takes over his face as he brings up another spoon. “I can eat by myself, you know.”
“I want to feed you.”
Harry feeds you the rest of the soup while he talks to you,  then goes back to the kitchen to clear everything before falling in bed with you.
“Did you eat?”, you ask, placing your head on his chest and looking up at him.
“I did, sweet girl. While making your soup.”, he says, pressing a kiss to your hair, his fingers starting to massage your scalp. He chuckles when you let out a soft groan.
“How’s your head now? Are you feeling a little better?”, he checks, his other hand running up and down your back.
“Uh huh, think your soup’s got the magic.”, you whisper, eyes already starting to flutter close. Harry laughs, nudging his nose against your cheek. “I put some magic in it, it’s called love.”
“Oh?”
“Mhm, and it’s special, only for you.”, he says, pressing feather soft kisses against the side of your face. “Gonna nurse my girl back to health in no time.”
“I love you.”, you say, your hand tucking under his side as he pulls you closer. “Thank you for taking care of me.”
“No need to thank me, gonna do it for the rest of my life.”, he promises, pressing a kiss to your lips. “I love you so much, y/n.”
You gasped. “What?”, he asks, worrying if you were going to throw up or something.
“You kissed me, idiot! Now you’re gonna get sick too.”
Harry laughs, taking your chin and giving you another kiss, making you slap his chest, playfully. “I’m big and strong, I don’t get sick.”
“Sure. I remember how you were being a big whiny baby last month when you had the flu.”
“Hush.”, he chuckles as you giggle, touching his forehead to yours. “Go to sleep, my giggly girl.”

Love Actually - Part 1
Tumblr media
Paring: Soldier Boy/Ben x Reader
Summary: Ben gets in late on Christmas Eve with a Grinch-like attitude, but you’re determined to force some holiday cheer into his system.
AN: Here’s my last entry for the TGWRC: Christmas in July event! It’s set in the same world as “Break Me Down,” and set before “Checkerboard.” But this can be read as a stand-alone! Hope you enjoy…
Theme: Christmas movies Prompt: “That’s a poor excuse for a tree.”
Word Count: 3,100 Tags/Warnings: SB being himself, wee bit of angst, potential fluff overload!
Tumblr media
Part 1: "Humbug"
He was late.
It was Christmas Eve, and your boyfriend was late.
With a large bowl of popcorn in your lap, you sank further into your favorite corner of the couch, drumming your nails on its arm.
Your favorite Christmas movie played on the ridiculously large flatscreen Ben had insisted on when you two moved into this apartment. But you couldn’t get into the story like you normally would.
It was the first Christmas you and Ben were spending together since he’d started working with, instead of against Supe Affairs and the CIA. In fact, he was on an extended mission—hunting down a rogue supe in Idaho, of all places.
Freakin’ Idaho. Goddamn potatoes, you thought irrationally, shoving another handful of popcorn into your mouth.
While he’d been gone, you went all out in decorating the apartment: red and white candles, stockings, various ornaments, multicolored string lights, and poinsettias. You’d even found a nice little tree that fit in the only free corner of the living room.
Well, you’d had to rearrange some furniture to make that happen, but in the end you’d succeeded. It felt like you were living at the bottom of a snow globe.
You hadn’t heard from Ben at all in over two weeks. The day he left you outside your office in the Surveillance department replayed often in your mind.
Tumblr media
Two weeks ago…
“Don’t give me that face, baby doll.”
Ben quirked a smile at your concerned frown, and he propped a gentle fist under your chin. You crossed your arms.
You knew he had to go. Butcher and the rest of the guys were waiting outside the S.A. office. And you were proud of him for what he was doing, genuinely trying to put in the work on this “hero” thing. But you didn’t have to like the timing. It was only two weeks until Christmas.
“Fine,” you agreed. “Just get this guy quick. I don’t want to hear my aunt’s shady-ass sniping. Every time I show up to a family gathering by myself, she starts plotting my arranged marriage to her fucking pediatrist, her divorce attorney—mind the irony there—or even the guy who packages meat at the grocery store—”
“All right, Christ. I’ll be back in fucking time,” said Ben. He grabbed your arms to stop your verbal flapping. Then with a grin, his hands moved to the curve of your waist, down to get a healthy grip of your ass.
“’Sides, I’m the only one flingin’ meat around here,” he said with a deepening smirk.
You rolled your eyes, but a smile threatened to take over your frown as he pulled you flush against him, trapping your hands against his broad chest. You found purchase on the hard fabric of his uniform.
“You’re so gross,” you said. But you pulled him down for a searing kiss. If you weren’t going to see his handsome face for a while, then you were going to make the most of this moment.
And it seemed your boyfriend felt the same way; his arms wrapped around your frame like steel bands. Your fingers swept through his hair as your tongue slipped into his mouth, making his grip on you tighten with a pleased hum.
“Oi! Sid and fuckin’ Nancy,” Butcher called from down the hall. “Got a fucking job to do. Today, if you don’t mind.”
Ben broke away from you, just enough to frown in irritation over your head.
“Calm your fucking tits, Churchill. I’ll leave when I’m good and damn ready.”
You couldn’t help but giggle into his chest.
Tumblr media
Now, it was quite literally hours away from Christmas Day.
You would be seeing your family tomorrow, regardless. You and Ben were supposed to go to your mother’s house for dinner. But you were starting to think that he might not make it tonight, let alone tomorrow.
And if you had to deal with your aunt nosing into your personal business again, your hand might just “slip” while pouring yourself a rum-filled eggnog, so you wouldn’t be held liable for your actions when you inevitably snapped on the bitch.
Sighing, you continued munching on some popcorn while you focused on one of your favorite parts of Love Actually. Hugh Grant was shaking his ass to “Jump In” by the Pointer Sisters.
The music was infectious, and you found yourself doing a little shimmy yourself on the couch in time with one of your favorite rom-com Brits.
With the TV volume as loud as it was, not even the door of your apartment unlocking could stop your mini-jam session.
And the door soon opened, revealing a dusty, soot-covered Benjamin, still in his supe suit and tactical gear. He took a small step back when the gaudy Christmas décor assaulted his eyes, but he blinked through it as he turned his head.
His lips curved at the familiar sight of you—bundled up in your pajamas and a fuzzy blanket on the couch, bopping to the beat of some shitty ‘80s song he actually recognized. You were alternatively mouthing the words and eating fistfuls of popcorn.
Shaking his head, Ben stepped into the apartment and shut the door with some force. You finally perked up at the sound, your smile alight with happiness when you realized he was home. That alone made him soften a bit.
“Ben!” You paused your movie and bounded over to greet him with a warm hug and a deep kiss.
He brushed your hair back and allowed himself to revel in the familiarity of you in his arms.
“Aren’t you a fucking sight,” he murmured.
Ben was still getting used to having someone to come home to, but it was grounding. This place was his home now, mostly because you were in it.
“You okay? How did it go?” you asked, wiping off some soot from his cheek.
“Who do you think you’re talking to?” Ben offered you a cocky smile. “We smoked that pyro bitch.”
Your eyes narrowed. “You what?”
“Relax, the supe’s alive,” he said, rolling his eyes, as if it grated him to admit it. He wouldn’t tell you that the supe had two broken arms and probably a crack in his skull. “Being shipped off to prison as we speak.”
You nodded with a smile. “Good. I’m proud of you.”
His lips pulled at a grin. But then you took his face between your hands with a hard slap (though it didn’t even sting, the point was made in your annoyed frown).
“You’re late,” you said. Ben raised a brow.
“Excuse me?” he said.
“You heard me. You’re fucking late,” you repeated. “Go take a shower. I already started the first movie without you.”
You tugged him by the hand and all but pushed him into the hall that led to your shared bedroom.
Ben wasn’t one to be manhandled though. He dug his heels in obstinately.
“Christ, I just got home. All I want to do is sleep…unless you want to give me a proper fucking welcome.”
He glanced at you over his shoulder with a more than suggestive smirk. He turned around and pulled you into his firm chest. His hands smoothed down your back and squeezed your hips, with his thumbs dragging under the hem of your pajama top.
While your lips threatened a smile, you had to wonder how he had enough energy for reunion sex, but not enough to watch a simple movie.
Still, his offer was all-too tempting, making heat prickle along your skin wherever he touched. Nonetheless, you managed to remain stubborn and pushed gently against his chest.
“Down, boy,” you said. “If I let you get your hands on me now, I’ll never get through my list.”
First it was Love Actually, then Christmas Vacation, followed swiftly by Home Alone and its sequel, Lost In New York.
Ben frowned at you. “So? Watch ‘em tomorrow.”
“In case you’ve forgotten, it’s Christmas Eve.”
You gestured to all your hard work in the form of the decorated apartment.
“Tomorrow, we have dinner at my mom’s house. So tonight, you’re gonna go shower," you said, pointing at him. "I’m going to make some more hot chocolate, and we’re watching all manner of cheesy, romantic, and downright silly Christmas movies until your Grinch-ass gets some holiday spirit.”
Ben released a tired sigh and dropped his hands away from you.
“I haven’t slept in three fucking days," he said. "I’m not staying up all night again for some corny bullshit.”
You frowned in disappointment.
“Ben, come on. Please?” you tried, but he just waved a dismissive hand and continued his way to the bedroom.
For a moment, you watched him go in disbelief. Was he really going to be like that?
With a flash of hot annoyance, you huffed and decided that you weren’t going to let him ruin the night for you.
So you went into the kitchen and whipped up some hot cocoa, breaking out the actual Godiva chocolate bars you bought just for this moment. You poured out one mug initially. But you listened to the old water pipes working, knowing that Ben must’ve been taking a shower.
You knew he wasn’t just tired. He didn’t seem to be looking forward to tomorrow either, and  was going along with it for your sake. Which, to be fair, could just mean he still wasn’t totally comfortable around your family. (Your sister Luisa still hadn’t totally warmed up to him.)
You also had a feeling that he just wasn’t into Christmas.
The question was why…
But you poured a mug for him anyway, adding some mini marshmallows into each one. You brought both mugs with you back to the living room and set them down on the coffee table.
Getting comfortable on the couch again, complete with your blanket, mug, and the popcorn bowl, you pressed “play” and continued watching the movie…even though you felt just a bit lonelier.
But then, a weight dropped on the other end of the couch. You flinched and looked over at your now clean and pajama-clad boyfriend, who eyed you begrudgingly with his arms crossed over a soft plain shirt.
You smiled at him warmly. “Hey, baby.”
His grouchy face was the very picture of “humbug.” Biting your lip, you set down the popcorn on the coffee table and handed him the spare cup of hot chocolate.
“I made some for you,” you said. He gave you a brief nod and took a dutiful sip. But not even rich, chocolatey goodness could curb his sour mood as he stared blandly at the screen.
You knew that face. That was his, I’ll do this for you, but I’m not gonna fucking like it—face.
When he stifled a yawn, you knew that he hadn’t been lying. He really was tired. Sometimes you forgot that while Ben was all but indestructible, even he had his limits. Chasing that rogue supe across the country must’ve taken it out of him, even if he wouldn’t admit it.
So you reached over and plucked the mug out of his hand. His brows knit together as he watched you set it down on the coffee table with yours. Then you grabbed his hand.
“Come ‘ere,” you said, tugging him toward you.
“What now?” he groused.
“Just come on. Don’t bitch,” you teased. You guided him to lay across the couch, with his head pillowed in your lap. You grabbed an extra throw blanket off the back of the couch and draped it over him, making sure that it covered him up to his chest.
“What am I, a damn kid?” he said. But you knew his griping had no real weight. Already he was humming deep with pleasure as your fingers carded through his soft brown hair. You let your nails drag lightly over his scalp, massaging his head. Your free hand stroked his cheek.
Ben closed his eyes for a moment and let out a sigh through his nose. The movie continued to play, but you were no longer paying much attention. This was more important.
When he opened his eyes again, they were drawn to the small, four-foot Christmas tree in the corner of the room, next to the TV.
“That’s a poor fucking excuse for a tree,” he said.
You frowned and followed his gaze.
“I think it’s adorable,” you replied. And it was the only one you thought would fit in this cozy, but very narrow apartment.
Ben’s arms crossed over his blanket.
“I’ll go tomorrow, find us a real fucking tree,” he said.
Your frown deepened a little. “But I already decorated this one. All by myself, I might add.”
He eyed you then, a bit softer.
“All right, we’ll get a second one for the dining room,” he grumbled. “Getting the tree up is a man’s job anyway.”
You rolled your eyes at that. But you tried to see if there was anything deeper to read in his words. Not for the first time, you wondered how he’d spent his holidays in the past. No doubt with a lot of fanfare and celebrity parties during his hay day as Soldier Boy. You were more interested in his life before that.
“I remember, my mom would run the show at Christmas,” Ben said.
You blinked down at him in surprise. Without knowing, he’d opened up on your exact curiosity.
Or maybe he just knew you better than you thought.
“She’d have all the help in a damn tear around the house. Cooking, decorating, the whole nine yards. It was a perfect scene, like something out of a catalogue,” said Ben. “But getting the tree was always my dad’s job. His only job, really.”
You smiled and continued to listen with rapt attention. Your thumb continued to stroke along his neck.
“One year, he got this massive one. Must’ve been…I don’t know, twenty feet. I don’t even know how he got it through the door, but he was mighty fucking proud of himself,” Ben said.
His gaze trailed beyond you, lost in faded memories. They played in his mind like a reel, wordless, but bright and warm.
“Who decorated it?” you asked. Your voice drew his attention back.
“Me and him,” Ben admitted, surprising you yet again. “Meanwhile, Mom baked up a storm for the Christmas party they threw every year…”
It was a rare moment where Ben recalled what seemed to be a nice memory of his father. But soon enough, the nostalgia dimmed from his eyes.
He cleared his throat and swiped a hand over his mouth, as if that could erase his moment of vulnerability.
Then he turned to face the TV screen.
“So what’s even happening here? Seems like there’s four goddamn movies playing at once.”
You cracked a smile and continued brushing your fingers through his hair. You also rewinded the movie so he could actually follow the story.
“Yeah, that’s what makes this movie so classic. See, there’s Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman. They’re married, kids, the perfect life, right? But he’s actually cheating on her with a younger, sluttier woman.”
“…And this is a fucking Christmas movie?”
“Yeah, you’ll see. Then there’s Liam Neeson.”
Ben perked up at that. “The Taken guy?”
You nodded. “Yep! He’s a widower, but he has a stepson who’s got a sweet little crush. So he’s gonna try and help the kid impress the girl by helping him learn the drums.”
Your boyfriend nodded.
“Musicians get plenty of pussy, that’s for damn sure,” he said. And with a knowing grin, “Actors get more though.”
You snorted and pointed to Hugh Grant next. “He’s my favorite. He’s playing the Prime Minister, who falls in love with his assistant, Natalie. That’s her right there.”
Ben raised a brow at your choice of “favorite.” If nothing else, he noted your type for older men.
But he smirked when Natalie kept verbally fumbling in Hugh’s presence, then stared along with the Prime Minister at the woman’s ass when she walked away at the end of the scene.
“Hmm, I’ll admit. She’s got a juicy peach,” Ben remarked. You laughed and hit his shoulder playfully. It worked an amused smile onto his face.
He took your hand from his shoulder and pressed the back of it to his lips. You blinked down at him, and you warmed with a smile at seeing his more relaxed face.
He kept your hand on his chest, his thumb drawing back and forth over your wrist.
So you proceeded to explain the various angles of the movie until he was all caught up.
You two watched the rest of it together. Like always, you cried when Colin Firth poured his heart out to his housekeeper, Aurélia, half in his mangled Portuguese and half in English. You cried again when Emma’s character finally confronted her cheating bastard husband.
And you held your breath when Hugh and Natalie kissed as the stage curtain fell down, revealing their relationship to the world.
By the time the credits rolled, you were an emotional mess. You were happy though. Typically you’d watch this movie with your sister, but it was nice to share the holidays with someone…
Someone who loved you enough to curb his Grinch attitude about cheesy romantic things, like tree decorating and watching rom-coms with hot cocoa.
You glanced down, and sure enough, Ben was asleep. He had turned onto his stomach. His head still rested in your lap, his cheek pillowed by your thigh, and he had a hand curled around your leg. Your big, growling bear of a man had a gooey center that sometimes surprised even you.
For one mischievous moment, you considered sticking a piece of popcorn up his nose.
He looked so damn peaceful that you didn’t want to ruin it…yet now you couldn’t get up either.
Shit, you thought, but your grin was soft. Oh, whatever. Sleep is overrated.
You queued up Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation next in your movie marathon and settled in. You laid a gentle hand on Ben’s back, between his broad shoulders.
And his story about his parents returned to the forefront of your mind.
Maybe he didn’t hate Christmas. Maybe it was just difficult for him to remember the genuinely good ones. Maybe he missed his parents; both of them, despite how contentious it had been between him and his father.
You could certainly understand that. But now, you would make sure he would remember this one for the “good” column.
You only startled a little when your cell phone chimed on the coffee table. The screen read 12:00 a.m. It was officially December 25th.
You then felt Ben’s warm hand squeeze your leg. His eyes were still shut though, his breathing deep and even in sleep.
With a smile, you leaned down and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
And you whispered in his ear, “Merry Christmas, Ben.”

A Little Problem - Part Two
Note - so this is long 😂 also I’m the worst at coming up with endings I really need to work on that. But let me know what you think 💕 part one can be found here.
Pairing - Mason Mount x Reader
Word count - 5k
Warnings - fluff & angst
Tumblr media
Ben ignored you for the rest of the trip. It was only another two days but if you ended up near him he’d make sure to leave and you didn’t dare try speaking to him again. You managed to corner him that afternoon but he told you to leave him alone and he didn’t want to listen to what you had to say right now. You were hurt at the way he was treating you both but you did as he asked and kept your distance from him.
You knew he’d told the rest of the group what was going on and the smiles and cheers the pair of you received when you walked into the room made your face burn. Mason was quick to sense your discomfort and protected you immediately, telling everyone to shut up and piss off which your we’re thankful for but you were now even more furious with Ben.
The pair of you didn’t let it get to you though, keeping out of Bens way and sticking with each other as Ben stayed with the rest of your friends. The first date Mason wanted to take you on once you were back home had been moved forward to the last night of your trip, ditching the others so he could take you out to dinner in one of the restaurants you’d wanted to visit all week. He was his usual charming self however you noticed he was a little shyer than usual but when you held his hand across the table you saw him relax. He suggested a walk on the beach after so you could watch the sunset and as soon as it dipped behind the sea, his lips were on yours.
Never in a million years would of thought kissing Mason would feel like this and you were just thankful that you were already sat down as you could feel your legs turn to jelly as he captured your lips with his. The arm that was already around your back pulled you in closer whilst his other hand found home on your cheek, gently brushing his thumb along the skin as he kissed you tenderly whilst your hands rested on his chest. You could feel his heart hammering against your fingers and your breath caught in your throat when he bit your bottom lip gently.
He pulled away from you much quicker than you wanted him to, and he laughed as his kissed your pout, unimpressed but the lack of contact before he rested his forehead on yours.
‘Have you had a nice time tonight?’ He questioned and you nodded at him gently.
‘Better than nice. Thank you, Mase’
‘You’re welcome, gorgeous. I think it was kinda nice just thinking about something other than you know what for a little while’
‘I’m sure he’ll come round’ you told him but you were starting to question that yourself. Your suspicions were only confirmed when you were back at the villa and Mason was checking on the flights for the next day when he noticed Ben was now sitting as far away from you as possible and by the looks of things Mason was also sat far away from you too. You sat next to Mason on the sofa, looking out onto the patio where Ben and a few of the others sat, feeling more distant from you best friend than you ever had.
‘He must of changed the seats round’ Mason mused and he tapped away on his phone. You saw him look up to you at the corner of your eye but you didn’t look back, not wanting him to see how you were feeling right now. You felt him place an arm around you before pulling you into him, placing a kiss on your forehead before he tilted your face so he could look you in the eye. ‘I’ve changed it myself, you’re sat with me now if that’s alright.’ He smiled and you sent him a small smile back. ‘Even if it wasn’t alright, we’ve reached the limit we can change them around now so you’re stuck with me’
‘I suppose I can put up with you’ you laughed lightly and he sent you a heart warming smile as you let out a yawn.
‘We best get to bed, it’s gonna be a long day tomorrow’ he whispered and you nodded in agreement. ‘You all packed?’
‘Just about. I have a few bits to sort in the morning. You?’ You questioned and he looked at you with an embarrassed smile. You huffed at him before standing up and pulling him with you by the hand. ‘Come on I’ll come help you for a bit’ you told him as you pulled him by the hand in the direction of the bedrooms. You made eye contact with Ben for a few seconds who’s face was hard with anger as he look away from you. You noticed the subtle shake of his head, clearly thinking the pair of you were off to have sex again when it couldn’t be further from the truth.
After the morning you were caught, you and Mason laid there for another hour or so, talking lightly about plans the pair of you hand when you got back and when you could see each other next when an idea popped into your head.
‘Hey, Mase? I was thinking, we wanna see if this works properly right? So I think it’s best if we don’t have sex again for a little while. Just so we can figure this out without that being a part of it? You know like normal people would?’ You laughed lightly and he looked at you with a small smile.
‘You’re putting me on a sex ban?’ He joked and you tapped his arm playfully.
‘Just a mini one. I just think it might be good to go on a few dates first? Like we hang out a lot but there’s always other people there. You might not like me in my own’
‘First of all, that’s bullshit. Whenever we’re together I’m itching to get you alone so don’t even start with all that. And secondly, I’m happy doing whatever you think is best’ he told you with a kiss on your nose which made you smile.
‘I was thinking like after the third date?’
‘I can work with that’ he winked ‘I’ll just take you out each night we get back’
‘Masonnn’ you groaned, hiding your head in his neck but he just laughed and kissed your cheeky gently.
‘I’m kidding, baby. I really like you and I wanna do this properly too’
‘Yeah?’
‘Of course’
‘Well, for what it’s worth. I really like you too’ you told him, a shy smile on your face, but it was worth the pounding in your chest when you saw him smile down at you before kissing you lovingly.
You’d just about finished helping Mason pack when you let out a big yawn which Mason noticed. ‘Come on love, you go to sleep I can do the rest tomorrow’ he told you, pulling you into him and leaving a kiss on your head.
‘Can I sleep here?’ You questioned shyly, figuring Ben already thought you were sleeping together so there was no point in trying to be coy, and he nodded with a small smile.
‘Of course, you don’t have to ask’ he whispered and you buried your head in his arm as he laughed lightly. ‘Come on, you can sleep in this’ he told you, removing the shirt from his body and handing it to you. You blushed at the sight of him, wanting to reach out and touch his skin but figured you’d have a chance to do that in a little bit. He ushered you to his en-suite and once you were sorted, you returned to find him sat in just his boxers on the edge of the bed.
He nodded for you to get in whilst he jumped in the bathroom after and when he finally emerged he slotted himself next to you and pulled you into his chest. You were eye level and you allowed yourself to take a good look at his features and you felt yourself turn to jelly. You placed a gentle kiss on his lips which made him smile before you got yourself comfortable in his arms and drifted off to sleep.
The flight home was fine, Ben made no effort to talk or interact with you both so you left him to it however you were growing increasingly annoyed by his attitude and unwillingness to talk about things properly. Him pushing you away was just making you gravitate to Mason more and once you’d landed, you made your way off the plane with Mason holding on to your hand behind you. Not even looking at Ben as he glanced up at you.
You’d been home an hour when you’d received a text from Ben, asking if he could come and talk to you but making sure you were alone. Mason had helped you carry your bags in from the taxi but left pretty much straight after so she could sort himself out, promising to call you later so you let Ben know it was fine and he was over in the next half hour.
He didn’t so much a crack a smile when you opened the door, just walked in with his hands in his pockets and made his way to you living room. You took a deep breath before following him in and sitting on the opposite side of the room.
‘Can I get you a drink or anything?’ You offered but he just shook his head. ‘So what’s up?’
He gave you an disbelieving look before shaking his head slightly and you could see how agitated he was becoming so you let him collect himself before he spoke.
‘You know I’m not happy about this. Like at all’
‘You don’t say’ you huffed and he gave you a hard look.
‘Don’t be sarcastic, y/n. Why him? Like why out of everyone on the planet are you sleeping with him? And how long have you been doing this behind my back? I thought we told each other everything?’
‘First of all, we’re not just sleeping together. We’re trying to give things a proper go like it’s not just sex there’re actual feelings there. And second of all, it’s none of your business who I may or may not be sleeping with or dating’ you told him and he scoffed at your words which was making you grow impatient quickly. ‘We also haven’t been doing anything behind your back. The first time was the night before you walked in on us. You should know I’m always honest with you but I didn’t think I’d need to text you and ask permission first’
‘You expect me to believe that?’ He spat and you sighed quietly.
‘Believe what you want. I don’t get it though, you never had an issue with my ex and he was an absolute arse. Mason is supposed to be one of your best friends and you’re treating him horribly’
‘Cause I know what he’s like!’ He exploded and you were a little taken aback by his outburst. ‘He doesn’t care about you like that, he just wants you for sex. Why do you think he even went there in the first place? He wasn’t getting any when we were out so he thought he’d try it on with you and you bloody fell for it!’
You felt your eyes burn at what Ben was saying, not believing him at all as you trusted Mason. He wasn’t just a random boy after all, he was your friend first and foremost and he’d been nothing but kind to you since you met him.
‘I’m sorry Ben, but you’ve got it all wrong’ you told him calmly but this seemed to agitate him even more, causing him to jump up and start pacing the room.
‘I’m trying to protect you here, y/n. I’m not saying stuff for the fun of it. He’s no good for you’
‘Why?’
‘Cause I know-‘
‘No you don’t!’ You cut him off, rising up to face him and he he stopped to look at you shocked. ‘You don’t know anything about Me and Mason. We had sex twice, that’s it. We haven’t done it again since you saw us that morning and and when I told him I wanted to wait until we figured things out he said he’s happy to do what I think is best. Because he respects me enough to wait until I’m comfortable with where we are. So no he’s not just shagging me. He actually cares and I care about him’ you told him, angry with how this conversation was going. ‘If you came here to be rude about him and tell lies than I’d rather you leave’
‘You don’t mean that’
‘Oh I do Ben, I really do. You’ve made the both of us feel like crap over this and I’m not gonna let you ruin this for me’. By the looks of things, he didn’t have anything else to say to you and just stared at you for a brief second before walking out.
You felt deflated.
If your own best friend couldn’t be happy for you then who would? You tried not to think about what he’d said, not wanting to question Masons intentions as he’d done absolutely nothing to make you doubt him, but Ben had seemingly got under your skin.
You woke up the next morning to a text from Mason, having gone to sleep without messaging him last night as your own insecurities had got the better of you.
Hello beautiful. I presume you went to sleep pretty early last night as I didn’t hear from you. I hope you’re okay and let me know when you’re free for me to see you next cause I miss you already :( xxx
You smiled at his text, eager to see him too now you’d slept on everything and you let him know you were free all day. He made his way over to you at around three and you greeted him with a bone crushing hug that made him laugh.
‘You okay?’ He questioned with a concerned face and you let him know you were fine before you got settled on the sofa.
‘Have you heard from Ben at all?’ You asked him after a few minutes and he shook his head. ‘I have’
‘Oh yeah? What did he say?’
‘Some not very nice things’ you laughed and the look Mason was giving you made it clear he wanted you to expand. ‘Told me you only want me for sex and he doesn’t get why out of everyone else on the planet i’d pick you’ you told him and you could see he was disheartened about it so you held him by the jaw until his sad eyes looked into yours. ‘I don’t believe him though, Mase. Not a word. And I told him to leave and not ruin things for us’
He gave you a half smile at this, thankful that you’d stuck up for him but you cold tell he was unhappy with what Ben had said about him. You leaned in and gave him a gentle kiss that made him smile a little more before he tugged you into him so he could hold you.
‘I’m sorry he’s making things difficult, but I need you to know he’s wrong. It’s not just sex for me’
‘I know that, Mase. I believe you I promise. ’
‘I thought he might be a little unhappy but I didn’t think he’d be like this’ he breathed as he gently rubbed up and down your back. ‘I never meant to fall for you, it just happed but I don’t regret it one bit’
You pulled back to look at him, your glassy eyes catching his and you offered him a small smile as he bent down to kiss you lightly.
‘You don’t have to explain yourself Mason’ you told him as you settled back into his embrace so you could tell him how you felt without looking at him as you were overcome with nerves. ‘He must of known something like this would of happened cause he told me you were off limits’
‘Me too’ He chuckled and you nestled further down into him. ‘We better make sure this works out then huh?’ He chuckled and you squeezed him a little tighter. ‘But I don’t want you to worry about what Ben has to say. How we feel about each other is nothing to do with him’ he stated before kissing your head lightly. ‘Now, when can I take you on a second date?’ He laughed and you chuckled into his neck, feeling happier than you had all day.
Mason had taken you to mini golf for your second date and he’d beaten you by a landslide. You weren’t happy with your performance but he made it up to you in kisses so you couldn’t be too mad at him. You’d even stayed over at his that night although he reiterated that no funny business would be happening and even though he was joking, you couldn’t wait for your third and final date so you could get him in between the sheets agin.
You we’re currently waiting for him in the car park at cobham, having dropped him off this morning but he seemed to be one of the last ones out as there were only a few cars left. You soon saw Reece heading out the door, looking around frantically until he spotted your car. You got out as he rushed over and the panic set in as you caught sight of the look in his face.
‘You better come in’ he told you and you followed him, unsure of what you were walking into. He led you all the way to what appeared to be a treatment room and inside you found Mason lying on a physio bed with a bandage around his ankle and a sour look on his face.
‘Mase? What the hell happened?’ You asked as you rushed over to him. Your hands cupped his jaw and you felt his hands settle around your waist, trying to comfort you even though he was the one in pain.
‘It’s just a knock baby, don’t worry I’ll be alright in a few days’ he reassured you but you heard a scoff from the other side of the room and when you turned you were met with a pissed off looking Ben, clearly annoyed about the pet name Mason called you, but you could detect a bit of guilt behind his eyes.
‘Did you do this?’ You breathed and you noticed him squirm under your stare.
‘Not on purpose’ he argued back, he eyebrows furrowed as he caught onto how hurt you were by his actions.
‘It was just a bit of a late tackle’ Mason explained quietly.
‘It was a bit of a shit tackle’ Reece uttered and Mason let out a little laugh whilst Ben shot daggers at them both.
‘Just get out Ben’ you huffed, turning away so you could focus your attention on Mason and after a few seconds you heard him leave the room with Reece following behind with a quick goodbye. ‘Sorry love, I feel like this is all my fault’ you told him, resting your hands on his shoulders, but he looked up at you with sparking eyes and a huge smile. ‘What?’ You laughed as he turned his face and kissed your arm.
‘That’s the first time you’ve ever called me anything but my name’ he laughed and you felt your face blush as you realised you’d let the pet name slip. ‘Don’t be embarrassed, I liked it’ he told you, pulling you in so you could give him a hug ‘it’s not your fault either. Let’s just go home’ he whispered and you could tell he sounded deflated.
You spent a few days looking after Mason, but he was right and he was fine a few days after however you had your suspicions he was playing on it a little bit so you’d take care of him for longer.
You wanted to surprise Mason after his first day back at training so you let yourself into his with the spare key you knew he’d hidden in a lockbox behind a bush and you were upstairs when you heard his car pulling onto the drive. He was earlier than you expected and you chanced a look outside to find Bens car parking up next his. You cursed under your breath as you hadn’t realised he would be bringing anyone back and you hid upstairs so the pair of them couldn’t see you but you could still hear.
‘Shall we go sit in the kitchen? I need a drink’ you heard Mason ask before they both shuffled off. You were unsure of what to do, but your curiosity got the better of you and you snuck downstairs to listen in, hiding behind the door frame so you could hear every word. ‘Thanks for coming’ you heard Mason utter as you sat on the floor as quietly as you could.
‘I guess it’s a bit overdue’ Ben huffed and you gulped in anticipation about what you were about to hear. ‘I’m sorry about your ankle’
‘I don’t care about that, I’ll be fine in a few days. What I care about is how y/n feels and I know she’s really hurt’ Mason explained, and your heart thudded at how he was sticking up for you. ‘I thought you might be a bit iffy about us at first, but I didn’t expect this’
You heard Ben sigh and they were both quiet for a while before Ben let out a little groan.
‘I don’t know…’ Ben trailed off but Mason pushed him for an answer.
‘You know me, you know I’d never do anything to hurt her and you’re lying about me behind my back? Filling her head with all sorts of shit to warn her off? You were never like that with her ex yet you’re happy to throw one of your best friends to the wolves?’
‘Cause I knew it would never last with him’ Ben suddenly stated and you held your breath in hopes he would continue. ‘I knew I’d never have to worry about anything serious going on cause he was a twat’
‘But this is what I don’t get’ Mason queried thankfully asking all the questions you wished you could. ‘What does it matter if she’s in a serious relationship. She’s a grown adult and she deserves to be happy. You can keep her you single best friend forever’
‘That’s not what I want’
‘Then please explain cause I’m really not getting it’
‘You really want me to tell you?’
‘Yes’
‘I don’t want her to be single forever, but I wanted her to be single for when I was ready’ he told Mason timidly and you had to hold your hand over your mouth to hold in your gasp, wondering if what he was saying meant what you think it did. ‘I didn’t care if she was waisting time with with him cause I knew when that was all over, I’d be ready and waiting for her’
‘Wait? You like her?’
‘Of course I do’ he huffed and you could feel your heart ringing in your ears. Ben was your best friend, you saw him as a brother but never as anything more, so to hear him speak about you like this shocked you as you would of never expected it. ‘But I don’t think I’m ready for all that just yet, you know?’
‘So you encouraged her to date guys you knew it wouldn’t work out with so she’d be available for when you were ready? Do you realise how that sounds, mate? That fucking awful’
‘Well yeah, when you say it like that it does. But I never meant it in a bad way. I just felt like it was fate that we’d end up together but then you showed up and took her away’
‘She’s not your fucking possession’ Mason spat and you almost got up to stop him exploding. ‘You’ve got no right to play with her life like that’
‘I wasn’t’ Ben argued back and you weren’t sure if you wanted to carry on listening anymore.
‘Look mate, I get it alright. I’ve liked her from the second I saw her, she’s not hard to fall for. But if you’re not ready to be what she needs now then I don’t think you ever will be. If you like her as much as you say you do then you would of found a way to make it work’ Mason told him softly, trying to comfort him but also let him know this all had to stop. ‘I’d do absolutely anything for her, you know? Even if she never wanted to see me again I’d do it cause I put her feelings above mine always. That’s what you do for the ones you care about’ he laughed lightly
‘It’s just a lot to lose’
‘I’m not saying she’s gonna kick you out of her life, you’re her best friend and she’s always gonna want you around, but you have to respect her decisions’
It was silent for a while and you figured Ben was processing what Mason had said to him, soon enough hearing a big sigh.
‘I’m sorry for all that shit I said about you. Walking into you two going at it wasn’t exactly great and I was just trying anything I could to try and end things. But that was shit of me and I’m sorry’
‘I get it, I know it must be hard’
‘Doesn’t make it right though. I’ve been a shit friend to you. To the both of you’
‘There’s still time to fix things’ Mason told him, his voice sounding optimistic and you smiled at how maturely he seemed to be handling the situation. ‘But I want you to know I’d never do anything to hurt her, yeah? You can trust me’
‘I know. That’s why I never wanted you together’ Ben said with a laugh and you heard Mason chuckle along with him. ‘Come give me a hug, man’ Ben said and you took that as you cue to leave, carefully standing up and making your way back up to Masons room where you could hopefully hide out for a little bit until Ben had left. You had almost drifted off when you heard the door open to reveal a smiling Mason which confused you as you’d expected him to be surprised to see you.
‘So this is where you went’ he teased as he flopped down next to you. ‘How much if that did you hear downstairs?’
‘W-what?’ You stuttered, stunned that you’d apparently been caught out, but the smile on his face let him know you were okay. ‘How did you know I was listening’ to whispered with a slight laugh as you hid in his body.
‘I saw a shadow move when you got up to go and then your hair when you turned. Discreet is not your middle name my love’ he teased and you laughed as he tickled your sides.
‘I heard pretty much all of it’ you told him quietly and he nodded gently in response. ‘Did he see me too?’
‘No, he was facing the other way’ he confirmed, stroking your cheek with his thumb and kissing your forehead. ‘Are you alright?’
‘I think so. Thank you for sticking up for me’ you mumbled and he smiled before kissing your cheek but you could tell he looked a little rattled by the whole thing.
‘Does this change things between us?’ He asked shyly and your heart broke at the vulnerability in his eyes.
‘I don’t see why it would’ you reassured him, holding him a little tighter to hopefully let him know things were going to be okay.
‘He likes you, y/n. He think I stole his future wife’ he grumbled and you smiled at his moodiness. ‘Don’t laugh’
‘Look, Mase. If that’s what he feels then fine, but I don’t feel the same’
‘No?’ He asked, a look of relief washing over his features as you shook your head.
‘No. He’s like a brother to me, and after what said downstairs and done over the last week or so then that’s not someone I want. I like you, Mase. I want to be with you’ you told him and he hugged you to him tighter.
‘I thought you might of picked him over me’ he breathed and you shook your head.
‘Yes I’ve known Ben for longer, but I’m not giving up what we have. You’ve made me so happy, like I know we’re just starting out but I’m excited about the future with you’
‘Yeah?’ He laughed, and you could see his eyes were a bit glossy. Clearly relieved as he thought your friendship with Ben would trump your feelings for each other.
‘Of course’ you smiled before kissing him softly. ‘In fact, how about we call this our third date?’ You winked and his face lit up instantly.
‘Are you sure?’ he laughed before grabbing your face so he could deepen the kiss and rolling his body on top of yours.
‘Positive, I’m always happy to bend the rules for you’ you breathed, wrapping your legs around his waist and pulling him flush against your body. You could fell him pressed up against your core and your spine tingled at the feel of him. ‘Besides, we have another massive problem of yours to sort out by the looks of things’ you teased and he buried his head in your neck whilst laughing, a little embarrassed clearly but you found it endearing.
‘I promise you, I’ll try my hardest to make this the only problem we ever have’ he laughed and you laughed even louder, happier now things were heading in the right direction.

Running from the Flames {25}
Pairing: Pierre Gasly x OFC Warnings: 18+ only, fluff - this is a work of fiction and the events are not based on reality. Previous Chapter - Next Chapter
Tumblr media
I was going crazy. I had to be.
Pierre had disappeared first, then Granny had excused herself with Matthew before Grandad skipped along after with a feeble excuse of wanting to get to know her new husband and make sure he was treating her well. Then Otmar said he needed to find Esteban but he had walked off in the opposite direction to where you could see his dark head of hair two tables over.
As I sat alone at the table, wondering what had happened to everyone, I looked around for a familiar face but instead I heard a giggle that I knew well. I spun around at the sound and froze as I found everyone that had gone missing and then some.
Pierre stood in front of all of our family that had flown in for the final race, Addie grinning from his arms.
Everyone was dressed in to the nines and they looked like they belonged on the red carpet they would have walked to enter the event. I had never seen my mum in a ball gown but she looked absolutely gorgeous, just like Pierre’s mother, the two women linking their arms together as they smiled at me.
My eyes were drawn back to Pierre as he stepped forward and carried Addie with him, her excitement making her clap her hands. My heart started beating erratically with each step and I rose to my feet to meet him face to face.
“Pierre…” I whispered as he kissed Addie’s temple and placed her feet on the ground.
“I have spent hours planning what to say, but when I look at you, I can barely remember how to breathe. I thought my life had purpose until the day you and Addie walked into my garage. You turned my world upside down and I will forever be grateful for finding the parts of me that were missing.” Pierre gracefully dropped to one knee and took Addie’s hand. “You make me want to be the best version of myself, to be a father that makes his little girl proud…and a husband that spends every day showing his wife she is loved. I can’t do that without you, Bri. Will you marry me?”
I knew then why Granny had insisted on waterproof makeup as I tried to blink away the tears so nothing would blur the image of Addie handing Pierre a small white box. Pierre thanked her sweetly before peering up at me, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears while his fingers trembled as they opened the box.
I wasn’t the only one that gasped as the three gemstones caught the lights. It was a beautiful ring; a large sapphire set between two diamonds that sparkled like the many shorelines we had walked hand in hand.
I had no words but I didn’t need them. He knew me better than I knew myself and his smile widened as my bottom lip trembled and I nodded as more tears fell. My hand shook more than his as he slipped the ring onto my finger and kissed it before standing up, scooping Addie up with him. His arm curled around my waist and my feet were swept off the floor as he spun around to the cheers of our families and friends.
Our kiss held the hint of salt from our tears that united on our cheeks until Addie pushed her hand between us and we pulled away with a laugh.
“I can’t believe you hid this from me.”
Pierre rested his forehead against mine and sighed. “I never want to do anything like this again, I felt ill trying to keep this a surprise.”
“Well, that’s a good start,” I teased, “it would raise a red flag if you wanted to propose again.”
He chuckled and dipped his lips to my ears. “That’s not what I meant.”
I pulled away with a smile and waved my mum over. “I’ve actually got my own surprise. I was going to wait until tomorrow but since everyone is here…Mum?”
“Right here, honey,” she said as she pulled the folded papers out of her clutch. “Been carrying these around all day just in case.”
Pierre wet his dry lips with his tongue as he wondered what she was handing me. I let him take Addie’s weight as I used both hands to unfold the documents that had been six months in the making.
The crowd around us had grown substantially and most of the drivers were amongst our families with their principals as well. Everyone here knew my story, they knew my history, and they had been there to support Pierre and I with the aftermath of it becoming public news.
“To everyone here you are already Addie’s dad,” I said as I straightened out the kinks in the pages, “and there is no one I know that is a more patient, caring man deserving of the title than you.”
Addie smooshed Pierre’s cheeks together and grinned at him, his own smile widening in response as she cooed, “My daddy.”
“That’s right, ma fille.”
I handed him the papers and he took them with one hand.
“You’ve already promised her that she can take the Gasly name when she turns eighteen but what if I said she didn’t have to wait?”
“How?” he asked with astonishment as he shifted Addie to his hip so he could flip through the papers, pausing at the page where four signatures were already inked, penned beside yesterday's date.
“I know a good lawyer,” I said with a grateful smile to my mum.
I had feared the day Erik was released from prison and tried to get back into my life through Addie. After quite a bit of digging, mum had found out Erik and Trent were only working together for the money they knew would come by blackmailing my family. Erik never wanted a relationship with Addie, and I had never been more relieved. He had happily signed away his parental rights with his lawyer and a witness and I had accepted it with mine.
“What is that?” Jean-Jacques asked when a tear slipped over Pierre’s lashes.
Pierre smiled at his dad. “The best gift ever. Does anyone have a pen?”
Lewis was ready with one that he carried around to sign autographs with and he grinned as he saw the letterhead of the document when he handed it over. “Congratulations, man.”
Without Erik being able to interfere it was going to be a relatively simple process for Pierre to adopt Addie like he had once wished when we were out one night and saw a shooting star. It had seemed like a far-fetched idea at the time but I couldn’t shake the image of hope on his face as he talked about being a family in every sense of the word, a family that would one day grow.
Charles pushed forward and peeked over Pierre’s shoulder as he signed the forms that would begin the process and he gasped. “Adoption Order? No way! That’s like the best news of the night, ah, well, equally best news, of course, since I’m going to finally be your best man. So when is the wedding?”
“Bro, we just got engaged,” Pierre laughed as he handed the signed papers over to my mum to take care of and pulled me back into his arms.
“Yeah, but you made a ten year plan the second you met her.” Charles looked around the drivers and pointed to Daniel. “We even held a little funeral for you at the Monaco afterparty, didn’t we?”
Daniel tipped his head back with a roaring laugh that was contagious. “Another bachelor gone but not forgotten.”
“Haha, really funny,” Pierre said with a roll of his eyes but he couldn’t contain his own laughter. “I’ll remember this when you assholes finally settle down.”
“Daddy, that’s a naughty word,” Addie tutted, encouraging another round of laughs from his colleagues.
“I’m sorry, but they deserve it.” Pierre looked around the gathering and saw even the investors had joined the crowd. “Now, I think I have rubbed enough elbows for the evening that no one will protest if I go and celebrate with my family.”
Pierre laced his fingers with mine, lifting my hand to admire the ring that fit perfectly upon it with a beaming smile. His nose grazed along my jawline, his lips softly trailing until he reached my ear and whispered, “You have made me the happiest man, my beautiful fiancée.”
“I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to keep you that way.” I tugged on the bowtie he hated to wear and unbuttoned the top of his dress shirt so he could relax a little bit in the formal attire. “It’s a shame we aren’t in Vegas anymore.”
“My mum would probably kill me if we eloped.”
I giggled and nodded, knowing my own wouldn’t be happy with the idea either. “And my mum would probably get her off the charges. So a big wedding?”
“Go big or go home.”
“Alright, alright, enough whispering sweet nothings among lovers,” Charles teased as he approached. “Let’s go, I’m starving.”
“Oh, sorry, Leclerc, Alpine family only,” Otmar chimed in as he swiped his suit jacket from the back of his chair. “Unless you’re looking for a new team next season?”
I rolled my eyes and nudged the crestfallen Ferrari driver. “Tonight’s an exception, right Uncle?”
Otmar narrowed his eyes at the term I hardly used once I grew older. “She’s playing dirty. Fine, you can come but I know it’s only because you hate these events as much as Pierre.”
“I’m not going to deny that,” Charles said with a grin to his friend.
“Don’t stay out too late,” Frederic reminded his driver before making his way back to Ferrari’s table, a final piece of advice cast over his shoulder with a wave. “You can drink as much as you want tomorrow night.”
I turned to Pierre. “Why didn’t you wait until tomorrow?”
“Do you want me to hold onto it another day?” he asked with a cheeky grin as he reached for my ring and I pulled it back.
“No, I was just curious.”
His smile faded as he turned thoughtful. “Because we never know what will happen out there and I knew I would regret missing this moment if I didn’t.”
He saw how his words affected me and passed Addie over to Charles so he could pull me fully into his arms. “I wish I could promise you everything will be okay.”
“I prefer your honesty,” I replied softly as my lips hovered over his. “No regrets.”

Hi, can I request if it's still open? Feel free to ignore if it's not :D Can I request for angst to fluff with Sakusa? He somehow loses his cool and snapped at reader even though the reader was just trying to help him out. The reader would be sensitive one... kinda self-indulgent, I'm sorry ☹️ He immediately feel bad after looking at the reader's hurt face, because the reader has always been gentle with him and he never raised his voice at them. Ahh, also, sensitive not as in crybaby, but more like really upset and down and a bit petty. So he tries to make it up but the reader's kinda brushing him off weakly that makes him feel more guilty. Make him clingy and soft for the reader please ☹️👉👈 Ending with soft kisses and tight hugs, too?? I'm sorry if this is too much 😩 Thank you in advance, I really like your writings, and hope you're having a great day/night wherever you are 😄
more than enough

Requests are open! ❄
Tumblr media
Your boyfriend comes home late than usual that night. He opens the door, leaves his shoes right next to it, and doesn't looks at you before stomping to the bathroom.
You frown.
Kiyoomi always goes straight to the bathroom after coming home from practice, but after much insisting and a long explanation as to why kissing you hello is the correct thing to do, he had taken to always come and kiss your head before going to change.
So something is definitely wrong this time.
You bite your lip, and leave the book you were reading aside to follow him to the bathroom.
He's leaning over the sink, both hands clutching tightly onto the edge, his eyes trained on the water running.
Yes, something's wrong.
"Omi?" you ask, tentatively, and wait for him to somehow recognize your presence.
Whe he doesn't, still unmoving, you take a step towards him and place a hand on his shoulder.
He recoils as if you've burned him.
"I'm tired" he says, voice low and devoid of emotion.
You nod, still chewing on your bottom lip.
Training has been tougher than ever. The upcoming match with the Addlers is something the MSBY Jackals are taking very seriously, and you understand. Of course you do. You entered in a relationship with Kiyoomi Sakusa knowing he would always breath and talk volleyball, and professional playing demands a whole new level of dedication.
"I'm sorry" you whisper, your hand falling limply by your side "I know it's been thought, but things will get better"
"I don't think you have any means to know that" he answers, his hands finally releasing their death grip on the sink, and his eyes snapping up to the little mirror above the sink. You look at his reflection as well.
He looks exhausted.
"Well, no... but I just know it. You're a great player and you guys are one hell of a team that..."
He huffs, and his eyes finally move glare at you. "Honestly, the last thing I need right now is some catchphrases to cheer me up"
You frown, mortified, crossing your arms over your chest and looking at your feet. You're only trying to help "I'm sorry. I honestly just want to make you feel better... maybe if..."
"I'll feel better after more practice. That's the only thing I need"
"Yes, but also..."
"Don't you understand?" he snaps, and you look back at him when you realize that in the small space of your bathroom, it feels as if the ever calm and stoic Kiyoomi, is screaming at you. "If I decided to be done tomorrow, I wouldn't be able to leave satisfied. It would have all been for nothing. If I can't pay proper attention to what I do, then what's the point of it all?"
You nod, nervously, and your fear at his unexpected reaction makes you want to immediately hug him, in search for some calm from the storm he has become.
"Omi..."
"Stop" he growls, and somehow, he manages to make it worst than any scream "Stop, you're just no help. This...— you're useless"
The words cut through your skin like little paper cuts, and you almost mistaken the wet sound of water running down the sink with your own blood splashing on the floor. In a very 'you' way— always fixating in small things when an overwhelming feeling takes a hold of your heart— your first reaction is to stretch your hand out and close the faucet.
Then you turn around robotically, ignoring how Kiyoomi's eyes have widen after his words, and exit the bathroom to return to the living room, where you plow down on the couch and take your book once more between your trembling hands.
You're don't read anything, and the only word in your mind is 'useless'.
Kiyoomi trails after you, stopping only inches away from the couch. You feel his presence, hear him clear his throat, but don't turn around to face him.
He doesn't moves from his spot either.
"I might have said too much" he says, and you turn another page "I'm sorry"
"It's okay"
He sighs "I might need some sleep. Haven't been having much"
You nod, uncaring if he sees you.
"Of course"
"I'm sorry" he says again, and this time you try harder to read the words in front of you, making your best effort to see through the tears. "I'm going to take a shower"
As soon as you hear the water running, you close the book and leave it on the couch again, slipping on some shoes and leaving the appartment behind.
You walk for almost half an hour. Until the sun disappears behind the horizon, and darkness finally falls over the earth. Your feet bring you to a park near the coffee shop you really like— the one that has the only coffee Kiyoomi thinks is acceptable around. It’s a good place to take a break, away from your boyfriend for a while.
You've always known he can be harsh, sometimes. But never with you.
You've always understood that his dedication to volleyball had his consequences, but they just never affected you before.
Always so collected and soft Kiyoomi Sakusa had never spoken to you like that, and you think that's the reason you're so upset.
Maybe if words like knifes and hurtful accusations were more common between the two of you, you wouldn't have felt the need to get away from the house as soon as possible.
When the wind starts to pick up, and you have to rub your arms in search for some heat, you take your phone out of your pocket to look at the hour.
You have 45 missed calls from Kiyoomi and around 30 texts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back home, you open the door quietly, and watch as Kiyoomi stands up at the speed of light, his eyes searching for something on your face that can tell him that you're back to stay.
"You didn't brought a jacket with you" he says at last, after what feel like ages of the two of you standing in front of each other, without saying a word "It must have been cold outside"
You shrug, but can't help but rub your arms at the memory of the chilly night air blowing around you.
Kiyoomi moves as if in trance towards the coat rack, and takes your coat in his hands to go stand inches away from you. There's a pause in wich he seems to be waiting for you to lift your arms so he can slid the sleeves in, but when you don't do anything, he gives up and carefully draps it over your shoulders. His hands stay on them.
"It's not cold here" you say, looking up.
His hair is a mess from the shower and his own worried hands. His eyes are red.
You realize you've never seen him cry.
"You left without saying anything" he frowns, his fingers digging on the coat "And didn't answer your phone. You've never done that before"
"You've never said I'm useless before either"
Kiyoomi sighs, trying and failing to keep a pained sound from escaping his throat. Something shifts in his eyes, and the black seems more darker than ever.
He forces the words out of his mouth, his tongue heavy "If... if you need to go again, then please at least let me grab you a scarf. And take your coat... I—" he cuts himself off, clearing his throat, his grip on your shoulders only getting stronger "I can make something to eat for you. You don't have to eat it with me. Just take it. I... know you always wait for me to eat dinner"
"What are you talking about?" you ask, surprised.
Is he kicking you out?
Kiyoomi closes his eyes and tries to take a step back, but you grab his hand before he can go far "Omi?"
"I won't stand in your way if you need.... if you need to leave. Just... at least please tell me where you'll stay. And keep your phone with you"
You gape at him, squeezing his hand painfully "I don't want to leave!" you scream, and tears rush back to your eyes. Kiyoomi's eyes widen "I want you to apologize to me! You called me useless!"
He's hugging you before you can say another word, dragging you with him to the couch, where you fall against his chest and dry your tears on his shirt. He smells like the shampoo he always wears. The one you sometimes steal.
He smells like home.
"You're my biggest support" he whispers in your ear, raining kisses over every inch of skin he can find "I wouldn't want anyone else by my side. Please forgive me. Please"
You nod, sniffing, and he tips your chin up to kiss your salty lips.
The thought of Kiyoomi tasting your tears makes you laugh "I'm sorry" you say, chuckling, and he shakes his head and kisses you again, and again, and again—
"I love you"
You stop and smile softly, caressing his face. "I love you too"
"And you won't leave" he states, and you nod.
"You need to make it up to me, tho"
"I will" he promises, and brings you closer to his chest with a relieved sigh "I'll take care of you once you get a cold in a couple of days, for recklessly going out without a jacket"
You snort, punching lightly "Omi..."
"And without me"
You spend the rest of the night in each other's arms.

wrote some below deck sequel fluff to cheer myself up, eyyy
“That’s a good bite, Maxy.”
Max flashes him a thumbs up from behind the wheel of the catamaran, turns off the engines. Anchor secured, Daniel pads over, wraps Max up in his arms, feeling the give of Max’s body against him.
“Good bite,” he says again, digging his teeth gently into Max’s bare shoulder. He kisses the mark, freckled skin flushing under his mouth, and says, “Drink?”
Max nods, and Daniel nips him again before he lets him go, ducking down the stairs to grab two cans – beer for him, a shitty pre-mixed gin and tonic for Max.
Max is stretched out on the trampoline when he gets back on deck. Daniel drops down to the netting beside him, presses a cold can to Max’s belly to make him laugh and flinch.
“Fuck off,” Max says, squirming happily, and they drink under the stars, go over the plan for the next day, toss around ideas for their next few vlogs.
Tomorrow the Saving Grace will pick up their day charter, an easy cruise to the next cove and back, no pressure, no insane millionaire guests. After that, they’ll go where they like. It’s freedom like Daniel’s never known, the idea that he could pick anywhere and Max would study his maps, chart them a course.
The name of the boat had been Max’s idea.
“Maybe your mum will feel better,” he’d said, “if it’s like – she is looking out for us.”
His mum had fucking cried when they’d told her, obviously, and then so had Daniel, Max looking faintly alarmed beside him, knuckles pressed to Daniel’s thigh.
Daniel chucks their empty cans in the direction of the deck, kisses the squawk of protest out of Max’s mouth. His hands roam over Max’s soft skin, sun-warmed still, and then lower, working Max through his shorts as he presses him down into the netting, nothing in his head except Max’s body yielding underneath him, his little noises, the swell of the waves lifting the boat.
“You will make my back look like a waffle again if we fuck out here,” Max says finally, breathless, and Daniel snorts into his neck, rolls off and lets Max pull him to his feet.
He fucks Max in the cabin they fixed up, in the bed they built together. Afterwards, Max pulls the sheet up over their heads and looks at him in the filtered light until Daniel has to pull him close, close his eyes against it.
In the morning Max is first on deck, looking out at the water, his hands planted on his hips.
“It will be a good day, I think,” he says, turning to smile at Daniel, and Daniel feels, just, turned inside out with love for him.
He goes to the windlass instead of saying anything unhinged, instead of dragging Max back down to their cabin. The anchor lifts easily, chain coming up clean through the water.
“Anchor’s home,” he calls, and Max takes them out.

Movie Date Do-Over
Tumblr media
Summary: After Y/N returns from a disappointing date, Dean is determined to cheer her up.
Warnings/Explicit 18+: Nothing explicit. Kissing. Soft!Dean. Adorable!Dean. A blink and you'll miss it moment of angst. But otherwise, it's Fluff. It's pretty much all fluff. 😍
Pairings: Dean Winchester x Y/N
Word Count: 2,887
A/N: So, I’ve decided to do all 30 of these writing prompts. I may miss a day here and there, but I’m going to try to do one a day, and I will be completing all 30 no matter what.  They won’t always be in order.  This fic will be for the prompt: Use the words: kitchen, date, music.
A/N 2: I've written quite a few angsty pieces recently, with lots of sadness. So, I wanted to do something super fluffy/a little sexy. Hope you like this lighter bite. ❤️
I will be putting together a Masterlist for all 30 prompts and adding it to my main Masterlist.
Both beautiful text dividers, both below and at the bottom, were created by @talesmaniac89.
Tumblr media
"What are you doing back?" Sam asked Y/N as she clunked her way down the bunker steps. "Weren't you going to see a movie with what's-his-name? The bartender?"
Y/N pulled herself up the steps into the library and wearily plopped herself into one of the chairs, before she answered.
She smiled without humor. "Yeah, well, the movie ended abruptly when I poured my Coke into his lap, and dumped the bucket of popcorn on his head."
Looking across the large wooden table, she took comfort in the two faces staring back at her. Both so beautiful, both wearing identical looks of confusion.
She raised her hands, palms out and curled her fingers a couple times. "He was grabby, and refused to take 'Fuck off' for an answer."
She sighed. "So now, he has a lap full of ice, I paid too much money for a cab home, and," she ran a hand down the cute black dress she was wearing. "I got all dressed up for nothing."
The boys were quiet for a minute before Dean leaned towards Sam.
"He worked at that bar on Seventh, right?"
Sam nodded. "Yeah, and he'll be working tomorrow."
Y/N shook her head, laughing and exasperated. "You guys are not going after him!"
Dean scowled. "Why not?" He was definitely pouting.
Y/N smiled gently at him. "Because if I wanted to do him bodily harm, I could have managed it myself."
"Yeah, you could have, so why didn't you?" Dean asked.
"And why did you take a cab home? Why not call us to come get you?" Sam asked.
She answered Sam first. "Because I thought you were with Eileen tonight, and I thought the carouser here," she thumbed toward Dean, "was out making his rounds to score tonight's conquest." She tried not to sound too bitter about Dean's plans. "Wasn't that the plan?"
She looked at Dean. "And I didn't need to break any of his bones to get my point across."
"Of course you don't need to break his bones. You get to break his bones." Dean said, as though stating the obvious.
She shook her head, ignoring him.
Sam answered her. "Yeah, I don't know about this one," he waved toward Dean and the elder Winchester threw his hands up, annoyed at being referred to as though he wasn't in the room. "But Eileen's hunt went a little longer than expected, so I'm just headed over to see her now."
He stood and then turned back to Y/N. "Unless you want me to stay, we could talk if you need."
Y/N smiled and stood up too. She stood on tiptoe and Sam leaned down so she was able to kiss his cheek "That's very sweet of you, Sam." She said as she pulled away. "But, I think I'm just gonna say to hell with this day, and call it quits. While I'm at it, I think I'm just gonna call it quits on the whole dating thing too."
Sam opened his mouth to protest, but Y/N squeezed his hand. "No, really Sam, I'm fine. Please, go. Say hi to Eileen for me."
She looked back at Dean. "Night, you." She said with a small smile and left to have a shower and hopefully wash the whole date off of her.
About half an hour later she wandered into her bedroom, toweling herself off before she climbed into her pajama shorts and a tank top. She braided her damp hair back off her shoulders and prepared to lay awake in bed for a few hours.
As she walked up to her bed, she found an envelope in the middle of it. Her name was written in Dean's neat, bold, handwriting. A wide smile spread across her face as she pulled out the scrap of paper that was inside and read it.
If you feel like it, please meet me in the Dean Cave for a Movie Date Do-Over with a devastatingly handsome guy who promises to keep his hands to himself and not be an absolute asshole.
Following the movie, we'll be offering drinks in the kitchen, where I will STILL not be a grabby douchebag, no matter how much we drink.
At the end of the evening, if you'd like, we can negotiate a goodnight kiss. I promise I'm a very good kisser (I can provide references) and I won't expect anything further from you because, as stated above, I'm not an entitled fuckboy.
Yours cordially,
Dean
Y/N was giggling by the time she finished reading the letter. She left immediately, grabbing a sweater from the back of her desk chair as she left.
As she reached the Dean Cave, she found Dean standing outside the room, leaning casually against the doorframe. Y/N felt her heart skip a beat at the incredibly sexy figure he cut, in his faded blue jeans and plain black t-shirt. One hand was shoved in his pocket and the other was behind his back; his booted feet were crossed at the ankles.
As she neared him a wide smile spread across his face and it was pure sunshine in her heart. As he straightened up, he pulled a single, small, purple lilac from behind his back.
Y/N touched her fingertips to her mouth. "My favorite!"
"I know." He said simply as he leaned in close to tuck the delicate flower into her braid. He used one hand to weave the stem of the flower into her hair, while the fingertips of his other hand rested on her cheek to hold her head steady. Little frissons of pleasure resonated outward from where his fingers touched her skin.
He pulled back slowly, his warm breath fanning across her cheek, shifting the wispy hairs that had fallen out of her braid.
"Thank you." She croaked out. He smiled another heart-meltingly sweet smile.
"My pleasure." He stepped back, so she could precede him through the door into the Dean Cave.
"For your viewing enjoyment, I have gathered a selection of chick flicks and old cheesy musicals. All of which," he raised a finger in the air, "I have seen you cry happy tears at."
She chuckled as she entered, and then moaned as she noticed the spread of junk food that had been laid out on the coffee table.
"Ah yes," Dean said as he came up behind her, "and enough salty/sugary snacks to stop your heart just by looking at them."
Y/N felt tears fill her eyes unexpectedly. She turned around and threw her arms around Dean's neck, burying her face against his chest.
"Hey, hey." He said softly, wrapping his arms around her ribcage and squeezing her close. "You weren't supposed to start crying till one of the chick flicks was on!"
She gave a hiccupping laugh and pulled back to brush her tears away. She smiled brightly up at him.
"No, it's just that this is the sweetest thing! I just..." She felt herself blush and ducked her head.
"I just appreciate it so much."
Dean grinned and Y/N could see the tips of his ears turn pink. "Well, at least wait to see how the rest of the evening goes before you get too excited."
She nodded, smiling brightly. But she already knew it was going to be amazing.
And it was. They watched Meet Me in St. Louis, Y/N's all time favorite musical. And not only did Dean encourage her to sing along whenever she wanted, he joined in from time to time, promising her that he'd murder her in her sleep if she ever told anyone he was belting out "Meet me in St. Louie, Louie, meet me at the fair!"
After the movie was done, true to his word, he escorted her down the winding bunker hallways to the kitchen where he served up some Jack Daniels and good conversation.
They talked for hours, exchanging stories. Some of Dean's stories made Y/N laugh until her belly ached and some of them made her lean across the table and take his hand in hers, tears in her eyes.
When he poured out the last glass from the now empty bottle of whiskey, Dean pushed it towards Y/N and gave her a look she couldn't decipher.
"What?" She asked with a laugh. "What is that look?"
Dean shrugged. "I was just curious if you were serious earlier?"
Y/N took a sip of the fiery liquid, grimacing slightly as she swallowed and nodded. "Yes, I was. I stand by the fact that the Three Stooges are not funny. They're just morons hitting each other in the nuts, and trying and failing to poke each other's eyes out!"
Dean was shaking his head. "You're so wrong about that - they're comedic geniuses - but that's not what I meant."
He was quiet a second, tracing his finger along the embossed lettering on the empty bottle.
"Earlier, when Sam was leaving. You said you were gonna 'call it quits' on dating?"
Y/N smiled and shrugged, a little embarrassed to be talking about what a complete failure her dating life had been.
"I don't know. I'm just so tired of it all. The build up and anticipation of, 'Hey, this guy is cute and seems nice.' just to have it all come crashing down when you find out he's a disrespectful asshole. Or when he tells you that all the country's problems could be solved if they'd just get rid of the 'Orientals'." She said using finger quotes.
Dean's eyes widened. "What the fuck?"
Y/N nodded grimly. "Yeah, thank you to Tinder for that horrifying date from hell."
She took another big gulp of whiskey and it made her cough. Eyes watering she lifted a hand towards him. "What about you? Any thoughts of looking for something that lasts longer than a night."
Y/N smiled, pretending nonchalance, but her heart was suddenly slamming against her ribs.
Dean shrugged and smiled shyly, adorably. It was the kind of smile he sometimes gave her that made Y/N wonder just how soft and gentle he might have been if he hadn't been forced to be a hunter from so early on. His young heart had been shaped by bullets and bravado, so these rare, innocent smiles made Y/N ache to wrap him up in her arms and protect him.
The idea was laughable, her protecting him, but she wanted to anyway.
"I don't know." He said in answer to her question. His deep voice was quiet, unsure. "Sometimes I think..."
He paused, staring down at the table.
"What?" Y/N prompted.
He raised his beautiful emerald eyes to hers and pinned her down with his gaze. It felt as though she could barely breathe.
"I think, maybe if - if it was the right woman...someone who understood the life and didn't, you know, wouldn't put up with my shit. Someone who could be hard when she had to be, but preferred to be soft."
He shrugged and shook his head. Seeming to pull himself out of a trance, he looked away from her at last, breaking the intense connection between them.
"Anyway," he continued, "I'm just saying don't give up on dating altogether. I think someone good could still be out there for you."
Y/N nodded, her face was flushed and her stomach was in knots. She had to be misinterpreting what he was saying. Yes, she was just hearing what she wanted to hear.
She stood up abruptly and swayed slightly. Dean was up quickly to grab hold of her elbow.
"You okay there lightweight?" He teased.
She nodded. "Yeah, I'm good. But I think I should maybe call it a night."
Dean tucked her hand into his elbow. "Then allow me to walk you to your door."
They wandered quietly down the hall, and Y/N felt as though it really was the end of a date. The best date she'd been on in a very long time.
As they reached her door, she remembered the promise of a kiss goodnight in Dean's letter and her heart started pounding again. She found herself staring at his mouth as she turned to face him.
She leaned against the door and spoke softly. "Well, thanks, Dean. I had an amazing evening. You definitely made up for the asshole from earlier."
Dean smiled and took a step closer to her. "Good. I'm glad."
They were both silent a minute and she watched Dean's eyes flit to her lips and back.
"So, about that last part of the invitation?" He asked as he raised his hand to her cheek. His palm pressed against her lower jaw while his thumb moved gently to skim across her cheekbone. His fingers wrapped around the side of her neck, massaging delicately and making her bite her lip to keep from moaning.
"Are you at all interested in my offer?" Dean asked, his voice low and raspy, and his lips barely an inch above hers.
She nodded softly. "I am." She said, breathlessly. "So please," she pulled back from him abruptly, "send me your references."
She turned her door knob quickly and giggled loudly as the door opened wide and she stumbled backwards into her bedroom. Dean stared at her for a moment of confusion before he took in her giggles and the look of mischief in her eyes.
"Brat." He said as he charged forward and tackled her onto her bed as she squealed and laughed.
Dean won the wrestling match easily, but even as his one hand held both of hers above her head, and she was panting up at him, face suffused with desire, he wanted to be sure.
"Just to clarify. You are interested in that good night kiss I mentioned?"
She nodded. "Yes, a goodnight kiss at the very least."
Her words were not lost on Dean and his expression became heated, but wary. "Are you sure about that, sweetheart? I promise this wasn't my intention when I wrote you the letter. I really wasn't planning on 'trying anything'."
She smiled sweetly and ran her fingernails down the scruff that covered his cheek. "I know, Dean. But the thing is, that I've wanted you to 'try something' for a very long time."
"Really?"
She chuckled as she nodded. "Of course, Dean. How could you have missed it?"
When Dean just shrugged, she bit her lip again and decided to go for it. "You know, those things you said you're looking for...I mean, I know the life, and I promise I will never put up with your shit. I like to think that I'm only hard if I have to be. So...I kinda fit the criteria."
Dean shook his head. "Y/N, I was describing you." His voice was exasperated.
"Really?"
"Of course, Y/N. How could you have missed it?"
Y/N shrugged at him and Dean grinned. He leaned forward, his lips ghosting over hers before he pulled back slightly.
"So, that was a definite yes on the kiss, righ-"
The end of his question was cut off as Y/N pulled his mouth down to hers.
Y/N felt herself melt beneath the onslaught of his lips. He moved them softly against her own at first, just enough pressure to make her crave more.
Her kissed her soft and gentle, his mouth sweet and lush, until Y/N was squirming under him. She tugged on his short hair, egging him on to deepen the kiss.
With a rough groan, he finally did. As soon as his tongue touched her lips, she was opening for him, sucking his tongue into her mouth. He growled at her forcefulness and rolled his body against hers.
His lips moved across her jaw and down her neck, then across her collarbone and back up to the underside of her chin. Instinctively his free hand moved up and he palmed her breast through her tank top.
Y/N threw her head back and then cried out in protest when he moved his hand away and sat up.
She was laying on the bed, confusion on her face, breath coming shallow and fast. "What are you doing?"
He grinned down at her. "Well, I'm just checking. I mean I did encourage you to break the fingers of the next guy who gets too handsy."
She shifted so she was raised up a bit, leaning on her elbows. "Dean, let's get something straight so that I don't die of sexual frustration tonight. I want your hands on me, all over me. Where ever you choose to put your hands on my body, I'm gonna cheer, okay. I'm gonna throw a friggin' ticker tape parade, every time you stroke against my skin with those hard, thick, nimble fingers of yours. And every inch of my body that your fingers explore, I want you to follow closely behind with that succulent, extraordinarily beautiful mouth of yours."
She was breathing even heavier now. "Okay?"
Dean was smiling at her, but his eyes held fire that almost burned her to ash. His tongue peeked out from between his teeth as he looked down at her.
"Okay. Just checking." He tilted his head quizzically. "Does that mean, you're back in the dating game?" He asked with a wolfish grin.
"Oh god, shut up." She ordered as she pulled him back down to her, their laughter drowned out only by their kisses.

The Betrayer | Chapter Four: Now You Know
Tumblr media
Nothing is fine.
Pairing: Albert Wesker/F!Reader, Chris Redfield/F!Reader
Tags: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Death Mention
Notes: Chapter 4 is here! I am... so sorry... for how angsty this is, but also no I'm not. I made myself cry writing this, and hope the emotions come across as intended. Also, I know Lucky is a reader insert, but I really just wanted to give her a backstory and personality. I even envision her in my head in a very specific way lol. Hope you don't mind the lack of ambiguity because bringing her character to life has been such a joy. I am so in love with Chris Redfield it makes me look stupid. Wesker lovers, I promise our boy is coming. It is a slow-burn fic, and I needed/wanted to set up the world and give a lot of information before things take off. I put a lot of work into the worldbuilding though, so I hope you like it as I drop bits and pieces of that and explain it as I go. This story does have a set plot, but I'm keeping the chapters kinda fast and loose so I can make things up as I go. Chapter 5 is in the works. Anyway, hope you enjoy reading this installment as much as I enjoyed writing it! Please leave a comment if you can, the feedback is always good for the writing process!

Day 1; Survivors’ Camp
Carlos let out a low whistle as you wrapped up your story. “You know what? I think Chris was right. You are one lucky girl.”
“I just can’t believe you weren’t fired for that,” Leon scoffed, incredulous.
You chuckled. “Oh, I almost was. When I came to in the hospital, my captain absolutely chewed my ass out. So did Chris. I don’t think I’ve ever seen either of them so mad.”
“Well, if it were my girl’s life on the line, I think I’d be pretty miffed,” Carlos replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
You gave him a strange look. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Could he know about–no… that’s not possible.
Carlos responded with a laugh, “Oh, just that–”
Before he could finish his sentence, the survivor who helped Chris set up the large pot over the fire cleared his throat. He was young, roughly Claire’s age, with a very dramatic coif and a long-sleeved green shirt pushed up to his elbows. Everyone turned to look at him expectantly.
He waved one hand in the air dramatically and you could see Chris roll his eyes behind him, forcing you to stifle a giggle. “Ladies and gents, dinner is served.”
You heard various cheers and mutters of impatience at the declaration before everyone started forming a line in front of the two men. Chris was pouring the contents of the pot into a collection of mismatched bowels with a large ladle as the other survivor handed them out.
Carlos only gave you a shrug instead of finishing his answer to you and made his way to the back of the line. You turned to Leon, exasperated, and he just offered you a sympathetic smile.
The two of you stood, and you swayed a bit on your injured ankle. Leon was quick to grab your arm, letting you use him to steady yourself.
“Thanks, it feels like it hurts worse every time I walk on it. Though I should probably just push through,” you said with gritted teeth, trying to find your balance without his assistance.
“Or maybe you should stay off of it as much as possible. I can just bring you a bowl if you want.”
You shook your head. “No, I can’t let this slow me down too much. If I’m picked for a trial tomorrow, I need to be able to walk on it. Just… give me a second to adjust.”
“If you insist,” he replied as he watched you wince in pain. “Chris wasn’t lying when he said you were stubborn.”
You guffawed, “Coming from him, of all people? Pot meet kettle. He’s probably the most stubborn person I know, and that’s coming from someone who worked with cops for a decade.”
There was a small, amused grin on Leon’s face. “Yeah, I’m aware. But I think all of us have to be at least a little stubborn to make it in a place like this. Keeps the morale up, I guess.”
He helped you hobble over to the line, which was dissipating quickly. The hungry survivors spread out to the many seats scattered around the clearing, talking animatedly to each other. It was so lively and pleasant compared to the heaviness that persisted before and during the trial. It was like they were celebrating moving past another day, and you couldn’t blame them.
When the two of you reached the end, the last to get your food except for the men serving it, you pulled away from Leon to stand on your own. “I think I can manage now, thank you. Go on ahead of me.”
“If you’re sure,” he said, almost reluctantly. You waved him forward and he begrudgingly stepped up to get a bowl before leaving you to it.
You limped up to the survivor in front of you and he offered you a concerned look. “You, uh, gonna be okay there, lady?”
“Yeah. Believe it or not, I’ve had worse days.” You were only half-lying.
He smiled as he gave you your food. “You must be Lucky, right?”
You groaned as you pinned Chris with a dirty look over the younger man’s shoulder. Chris pretended not to notice.
“I can’t seem to escape that nickname,” you told the survivor. “Even in this nightmare world, it follows me.”
He chuckled lightly. “Well, I think it’s cute. And it suits you.”
“Shouldn’t the patron be giving compliments to the chef and not the other way around?” you replied, taking a sip from the bowl.
The stew was hot and burned your mouth a bit, but it was delicious, whatever was in it. Maybe that was the hunger talking, though.
“Just the sous-chef, this time. I’m Steve, by the way.” He offered you his hand and you shook it.
“Well, Steve, it’s nice to meet you.” You glanced around at the others as you retracted your arm. “I guess I have my work cut out for me getting to know everyone.”
“I wouldn’t sweat it too much,” he assured, grabbing his own bowl from Chris now that they were the last two left. “We live in pretty close quarters, and we’re all bound to end up in a trial together, eventually.”
“I guess that makes it easier,” you mumbled.
“You know, if you want to socialize, you can come eat with me and my friends.”
You glimpsed at Chris to see what he thought about that, and he just shrugged, as if to say, ‘Up to you.’
You returned your attention back to Steve. “Sure. I’d like to get a head start on making introductions anyway.”
“Cool, follow me.”
You gave Chris a half-assed salute and he waved you off as he headed to wherever he planned to eat his meal. You trailed after your new friend.
Steve led you to a long table at the far side of the clearing, a group of kids in their late teens sitting in the surrounding assortment of chairs. Rebecca and Claire were there, apparently already companions with the others.
You felt rather old standing in front of these teenagers, being roughly a decade older than most of them, but it reminded you of the times you had to entertain your little brother and his friends over the years. It was almost nostalgic.
“I know Chris said so earlier, but this is Lucky,” Steve spoke, introducing you.
“You already know Claire and Rebecca. Obviously,” he stated, sweeping his hand towards them. He then pointed across the table at a girl wearing a striped sweater and the boy who sat next to her in a dark jacket. “But this is Nancy and Jonathan. We came here together.”
He then referred to a young woman in a blue button-up, a sad-looking girl with short dark hair, another girl in a beanie and a flannel, and a boy with messy hair who looked like he’d never slept a day in his short life, “That’s Laurie, Cheryl, Nea, and Quinten. They came alone.”
You waved–some of them either returning the favor or nodding to acknowledge your presence–and sat down between Steve and Claire.
“So how’d you get injured?” Quentin asked conversationally as you slurped at the stew in your grasp.
Before you could swallow and reply, Nea interjected with a distinctly European accent, “I heard she was chased down by a giant spider.”
Claire jumped in, “The spider didn’t give her the injuries. Ghost Face did.”
“You got away?” Jonathan questioned, looking surprised.
“She didn’t just get away. She killed him,” Claire corrected, looking slyly at you.
“Bullshit!” Nea exclaimed, crossing her arms. “Nobody’s downed a killer on their own. Especially not their first night in the realm. That’s impossible.”
“Well, believe it, Nea. She did. She’s a badass.”
“It’s not like you were there. She could be lying.”
“I know her! She’s not a liar!”
“I know you’re only defending her cos she’s screwing your brother.”
You spit your food out onto the table, everyone who was intently listening to the bickering between the two girls quickly turning to you. You wiped your face with the back of your hand. “Excuse me?”
“Nea, that was too far,” Nancy warned before addressing you. “If it is true you killed Ghost Face, I think that’s really impressive.”
“Yeah, if you could manage that, you might be able to help us get out of trials alive more often,” Jonathan added, wrapping an arm around the girl.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Steve tense up.
Drama, much, you thought.
Nea rolled her eyes. “Better that than get in the way, at least.”
The group half-heartedly agreed and the discussion moved swiftly to different topics.
You watched on in amusement as you witnessed the typical teenage bullshittery unfold before you.
There was the weird tension between Steve, Jonathan, and Nancy on one side of the table, though Nancy seemed to be avoiding it by conversing with Laurie. On the other end, Nea and Claire bickered good-naturedly, Quentin looked like he wasn’t all there, and Rebecca and Cheryl, who sat side-by-side, were quietly talking amongst themselves.
Steve noticed your silence as he glanced over at you, leaning in to whisper, “I know it's a weird bunch, but we all have each other’s backs.”
You smiled, appreciating that despite everything, at least these kids got some form of normalcy.
If only they didn’t have to be here at all.
The thought of your brother being stuck in a place like this was more painful than you could bear to imagine. Chris must have been devastated when he realized Claire was trapped here too. Your heart ached for him.
Suddenly, a hush fell over the clearing and you all turned to face the campfire. Standing on the other side, illuminated by the flames, was a young blonde woman wearing cowgirl boots and cut-off jean shorts. Her entire left arm was covered in a floral tattoo, leading from her shoulder down to her wrist, where a beat-up old guitar was held aloft in her hand.
“That’s Kate,” Laurie informed you. “She was a singer before she was brought here. She doesn’t do performances every night, though, so you’re lucky to get to see it so soon!”
“Well, it is her name, isn't it?” Nea snarked.
Laurie only gave her an exasperated look.
“It’s a special night, y’all. We have a new survivor here with us, and I think we should all give her a warm welcome! This is for Lucky!” Kate called out.
Every single person in the camp turned to look at you—some smiling, some curious. You felt incredibly exposed by the attention.
Steve clapped your shoulder and you heard Carlos wolf-whistle from across the clearing. Jill reached over and smacked him on the arm. He had the audacity to look wounded by the playful action.
The campsite went quiet again when Kate started strumming her guitar. After a few chords, she began to sing.
It was possibly the most beautiful and captivating voice you’d ever heard, even though you didn’t recognize the lyrics.
Looking around you, it was clear everyone else felt the same way, their eyes glued to the woman who swayed and tapped her foot as she crooned her sad but hopeful melody.
When she finished, there was thunderous applause that echoed off the walls of the encampment.
She bowed, her face flushed by the reaction, before she spoke again, “This next one’s a dance song! I want everyone to get up and groove!”
There was a flurry of movement as a bunch of people stood and made their way to the middle of the camp, taking partners with them. Claire strode over to Leon to ask him to dance, and you saw him rub the back of his neck sheepishly as he let her pull him into the fray.
Nancy and Jonathan went together, Steve watching them with a clenched jaw.
He got to his feet and faced you. “You wanna dance with me?”
You gave him an apologetic smile. “Sorry, Steve. I can barely walk, let alone dance.”
“Right, yeah. No problem,” he replied, a little embarrassed by the rejection. He turned to Laurie. “Would you?”
She smiled up at him and took his hand. “Why not?”
The others at your table sat back to watch in amusement as the large group twirled in tandem. Those who weren’t dancing were stomping their feet and clapping along.
“Care to join me?” You were startled as Chris sidled up to you, his large hand outstretched.
He had shed his green tactical vest, revealing his white S.T.A.R.S. shirt underneath. The top few buttons were undone and you could see a small tuft of his chest hair poking through the gap. His muscles were barely contained by the snugly fit article of clothing, making you avert your gaze in embarrassment for even looking.
Dude is built like a grizzly, you mused.
You recovered quickly and answered him, “The ankle, Redfield. I don’t think I’d be able to keep up.”
He leaned down and swiftly lifted you, setting your feet on top of his own. “Don’t worry, Lucky, I can do it for the both of us.”
You couldn’t stop the giggle from escaping you as he spun you into the shifting masses.
You were a little shocked to see Carlos and Jill paired together nearby, as Jill had always been more of a wallflower, preferring to watch you and the others live it up at the bars and clubs your friend group often visited back home. Carlos was leading and seemed very suave about it, despite his usual air of goofiness. Jill was smiling wider than you’d ever seen as they danced, her face flushed pink in the campfire light.
“They seem… awfully close,” you remarked to Chris.
He followed your gaze and chuckled. “You could say that. Carlos only had eyes for her the moment he got here. She clearly likes him back but won’t admit it.”
You then saw Claire and Leon together. Claire seemed to be the one in charge and Leon, bless his soul, was stiff as a board and tripping over his own feet. They were both laughing.
“I think your lil sis has a crush,” you teased Chris, absentmindedly twirling the hair at the nape of his neck between your fingers. He shivered and you wondered if it was the chilly night air, though he had always been a furnace of man and rarely got cold.
“I’m keeping an eye on it,” he replied with a scowl. “I know she’s an adult, but she’s still my kid sister. Leon’s a decent guy, but he has a thing for Ada. I worry Claire will get hurt.”
“You can worry all you like, Chris, but the heart wants what it wants. You can’t protect her from everything. She needs to learn that lesson on her own if things don’t shake out.”
He sighed, his grip on your waist tightening ever-so-slightly, “I know, I know. It’s just… so much is out of our control here. It’s hard not to double down on the ways I can protect her.”
“She’s an independent spirit, Chris. You’ll only push her away.”
“You’re right,” he admitted, eyes meeting yours.
You grinned brightly up at him. “I always am.”
He snorted, “Don’t get ahead of yourself, Lucky. I have a whole filing cabinet of times you proved yourself wrong.”
You dropped one of your hands to press against your chest, mockingly flattered. “Aww, you keep a filing cabinet just for me?”
“Definitely. It’s for moments like this, so I can keep you in check,” he joked.
“I don’t know whether to be impressed or offended.”
“Hmm,” he thought aloud, dipping you, “probably a bit of both.”
He pulled you upright and you were pressed against him, your head resting on his broad chest. You were so close, you could hear his heartbeat under your ear, the soft rhythm of it calming to you.
Trailing your gaze up to his face, you found an intensity in his half-lidded eyes you didn't think you had ever seen before.
You weren’t sure why, but you felt your own heart skip a beat.
You came back to your senses when the song finally ended, those around you pulling apart and chatting excitedly. Kate started to gear up for another one, but you were utterly exhausted. Chris noticed.
“It’s been a long day, Lucky. We should go find you a room so you can get settled. You should rest,” he told you, his hand lingering against your side.
“That’s the best thing you’ve said all night.”
He laughed and the two of you bid goodnight to those you passed by who weren’t preoccupied with dancing.
You reached the edge of the clearing and Chris turned to you. “There’s a few empty shacks and open rooms in the facility. You can have your pick.”
You considered it for a moment. “Where are you staying?”
“Why, you wanna be roommates?” he teased.
“No, more like neighbors. I think I’d feel… safer… knowing you’re close by,” you replied honestly.
His gaze softened. “The group that’s from our world is staying in the facility. Most of the others are uncomfortable with sleeping there, but we don’t really mind it.”
“The facility it is, then.”
He nodded and helped you enter the aforementioned structure, leading you down a corridor lit only by hanging lanterns, the wall lined with doors. He finally stopped and pointed to the room in front of you. “This one’s free to take. You’ll be next to Ada.”
“What about you?” you questioned out of curiosity.
He gestured down the hall. “I’m just over there. If you ever need me at night, don’t be scared to knock on my door, got it?”
You agreed before you followed him into your new room. It was dark until Chris pulled out a matchbox from a drawer and lit a candle sitting in the shadows. As the flickering light filled the room, you took in the space before you. It was pretty drab, with cracking white walls, a stained linoleum floor, a dresser, a couple of side tables, and a bare full-size mattress on an old wooden frame.
“It isn’t much, I know, but the beds here aren’t terrible.”
“Are there any blankets around?” you asked, a bit worried you would freeze in only your S.T.A.R.S. shirt.
“Oh, right. We tend to put extras in the dresser when a new survivor arrives. Here, I’ll help you get set up.”
With that, the two of you made quick work of covering the mattress with some worn, moth-eaten bedding. There were even a couple of lumpy pillows, which you couldn’t really complain about, considering the night before you had nothing of the sort.
“Well,” Chris said as you plopped onto the bed, kicking off your boots, “I think that’s all. I can find you some new clothes tomorrow.”
“Thank you. For everything. I don’t know what I would have done if you didn’t find me,” you confessed earnestly.
“I told you when we first started working together that I’d have your back, no matter what.”
“Not even being stuck in hell can change your mind, huh?”
“Nothing could.”
“Stubborn ass.”
“You’re one to talk.”
You smiled at him warmly and he held your gaze for a moment until he half-turned to the door. “You should get some sleep. I’ll see you in the morning.”
Before he could leave, you called after him, “Chris, wait. I know it’s late and we’re both tired, but… you told me you’d explain what happened to the other members of S.T.A.R.S.”
The cheerfulness he had shown prior seemed to be sucked straight from his body. He didn’t immediately turn back to face you.
“Are you sure? It might be better to hold off until you’ve gotten some rest.”
“I’m sure, Chris. I don’t think I can wait any longer.”
He sighed, slowly making his way over, and sat on the side of the bed right next to you. “Where should I start?”
You rotated on the mattress to face him, your hand falling on his forearm. “From where we landed in Raccoon Forest.”
“Here goes.”
And with that, he told you about the horrifying events that unfolded that night.
Joseph was the first to reach the Bravo team’s chopper, and he discovered the mutilated body of Kevin Dooley. You didn’t know him very well, but his face still popped into your head at his name. He wasn’t a member of S.T.A.R.S., but you had been acquainted with him prior to its conception. He was a great pilot and always dependable. You felt your stomach tie up in knots.
Chris’s voice was tight when he then explained that Joseph was killed shortly after. Torn apart by a pack of rabid dogs. You and Jill had shot at them repeatedly, but they didn’t stop. You felt your eyes misting over.
Joseph… He was one of your closest friends on the team, and you had been partnered up with him on more than one occasion. You could see his smile in your head–imagined his lighthearted teasing.
Now he was dead.
Your grip on Chris’s arm only clenched further. You were fighting back tears as he continued.
Your group fled, being chased by the hounds after Brad had abandoned you, and entered a mansion in the middle of the forest. The “Spencer Mansion”, Chris called it. Barry was separated from your team in the chaos, and you had thought the worst.
Wesker had told you to split up. You and Chris remained together, while he and Jill paired off. The thought of being parted from them made you anxious.
The two of you were then faced with these terrifying creatures that had once been people, apparently infected with what Chris called the “T-virus”, which made them hungry for human flesh. You and Chris stumbled across a few corpses of your fellow S.T.A.R.S. members who had met that grisly fate.
You struggled to keep your composure.
Eventually, you had run into Rebecca tending to a very wounded Richard. He had been bitten by a snake, or so you had been told, despite the bite being incredibly large.
You and Chris tried to find an antidote while Rebecca remained at his side, but you were too late. Richard died right in front of your eyes, just like Joseph had.
Your breath caught in your throat thinking about the sweet man–how he only wanted to protect everyone.
He suffered until the very end.
Chris had to pause to collect himself and you took the opportunity to prepare for what he was about to tell you next.
“We split up with Rebecca again, and you and I kept moving. We were ambushed by a group of those things, and although we were taking them out one by one, they had us surrounded. You ran out of bullets, and while trying to reload, your cast made you fumble and–”
“And what..?” You dreaded his next words.
“One of them got too close. It… it bit you. Tore into you. I managed to fight it off, but you were hurt. Badly. I couldn’t think straight. I just grabbed you, shoved some of them out of the way, and ran for it. I found Rebecca and we holed up in a bedroom nearby. She did her best to stop the bleeding, but you were fading fast. She had to leave to get more medical supplies, and I stayed with you. I somehow got through to Wesker, the radio signal going in and out the whole night, and he showed up shortly after.”
“What happened next, Chris?”
“Rebecca… didn’t make it back in time. You–” his words were trapped in his throat as he stared down at your hand wrapped firmly around his arm. His jaw clenched.
“You died, Lucky.”
You were stunned, unable to comprehend what he had just said.
Me? Dead?! you thought, mouth hung open and eyes wide. No, that’s not possible. That can’t be…
But as the words really sunk in, you knew he was telling the truth. Chris would never lie to you, not about something like this.
And how he and Jill acted when they first saw you earlier that day? The uncharacteristic emotion, the way Chris held you so tightly to him as if he never wanted to let go? The way he acted so weirdly uptight the first few hours after reuniting?
If Jill had been taken in September, you would have been dead for two months. Chris grieved you for five years. You couldn't imagine how it must have been for them to find you in that old farmhouse.
“I wish I–I wish I could have done more to save you. I’m sorry.” He refused to meet your gaze, so you planted your hands over the sides of his jaw, pulling him back to face you. He had never looked more defeated–more broken–the entire time you had known him as you regarded his tired visage.
He was always the strong one. The one who could rally everyone together and push through all odds. Stubborn and bold and so rigid in his convictions, it sometimes drove you crazy.
And here he was, his warm brown eyes shining with unshed tears, the guilt and the grief weighing down on him like a stone tied to his neck.
“It’s not your fault,” you whispered firmly, your thumbs stroking his skin in a feather-light touch.
His eyes closed at your words, a few stray tears escaping their corners. You had never seen him cry before. Chris didn’t let himself be vulnerable like this.
How heavy a burden he must have carried all this time. You don’t think you could have held it together that long if the roles had been reversed.
“Thank you,” was his only reply.
He pulled away to wipe his eyes and you let him, dropping your hands from his face.
A moment of silence passed between you, and you were reminded that the story was not over. You might have died, but you knew at the very least Chris and Jill survived that night.
“Chris, can you tell me what happened after I…” you couldn’t finish.
He knew what you meant and took a deep, shaky breath. “Rebecca and I, we just… pushed forward. All we could do. We learned Umbrella was behind everything and that Wesker, he–”
Chris no longer looked broken.
He was angry.
“Wesker betrayed us.”
You felt your heart stop. “What are you talking about?”
“He knew about all of it, Lucky. He was in on it.”
“No. No. He would never do that to us,” you defended, voice raising.
He would never do that to me.
Chris grabbed your wrist and held it tight. “I know it's hard to take in, but it's true. He knew what was going on in those woods, in that mansion, and he led us all to our deaths.”
“But… why..?” was all you could muster.
“He was working for Umbrella the whole time. Umbrella created S.T.A.R.S. and instated him as captain. He was a traitor, right under our noses. He also roped Barry into helping him. Threatened his family.”
You thought of your older teammate and felt sympathy for him. If it was your family in peril, you knew you would have done the same thing.
“How does it end, Chris?” you asked finally, needing to know.
“We cornered Wesker in the lab under the mansion. He shot Rebecca–”
“Oh my god.”
“She survived, don’t worry. But Wesker showed me this… this monster Umbrella had created. The Tyrant, he called it. It broke free and ripped right through him.”
You were horrified. Sure, he betrayed you all, but this? This was too much.
“Jill, Rebecca, Barry, and I managed to escape. Brad came back to get us, the jackass. The whole place blew sky-high. We’d hoped that it would contain the virus.”
“So Wesker… Wesker’s dead.” It felt like your tongue fought you to admit the words, laying heavy in your mouth. You stared at a large crack in the wall across from you, unsure of what else to focus on.
To lose him like this…
“We thought he was,” Chris muttered.
Your eyes snapped over to him. “What does that mean?”
“He survived somehow. I ended up fighting him months later. He got away then, too.” The look on Chris’s face was the closest thing to hatred you’d ever seen from him.
Despite everything he told you, though, you were relieved.
Your captain lived.
At the expense of so many of your friends' lives, you reminded yourself bitterly.
You still weren’t finished, though. “Leon and Carlos said something happened to the city in September. What was that about?”
Chris sighed deeply, that mounting rage dissipating immediately as he released his grip. “After the mansion, we wanted to do a full investigation of Umbrella. We knew there was corruption in the R.P.D., so we had to tread carefully. I got myself into some trouble as an excuse to take a ‘vacation’ in Europe, where I was looking into one of Umbrella’s international branches. Jill stayed in Raccoon City to keep an eye on things. And then, towards the end of September, everything back home went to shit.”
He continued, “There was an outbreak of the virus. Destroying the mansion didn’t stop the spread. The city was in chaos. Jill, Carlos, Claire, and Leon barely made it out alive before the government sent out a nuke. The whole city was leveled.”
You panicked. “My family–what happened to my family?!”
Chris couldn’t bring himself to look at you.
“Chris, please, tell me,” your voice broke as you pleaded with him, seizing one of his hands desperately in two of your own.
“Your parents… they didn’t–they didn’t make it.”
The tears you had been holding back finally sprung forward, wetting your dirty cheeks. The salt of them stung the cut on your face, but the pain building up inside of you was far worse.
“What about Kitty? Tic?” you asked of your younger siblings.
Those weren’t their real names. Kitty, who was only eight years old, got her nickname when she was a baby.
Your stepmother had this plump ginger cat, aptly named “Cheddar”. He hated everyone, especially you. You recalled when you were thirteen finding the miserable creature chowing down on a piece of plastic bag from the day’s grocery run. You quickly scooped him up and pulled it from his mouth, and in his gratitude for saving his life, he sliced his claw all the way from your temple down to your cheek. If you looked closely, you could still see the faint white line in the mirror, slightly raised against the rest of your skin.
But the one person that cat didn’t hate was your baby sister.
And she absolutely loved him.
So much so that her first words were not “mama” or “dada”, but the joyful declaration of “kitty!” before she burst into a fit of laughter. Your parents called her that ever since.
Your brother, on the other hand, received his nickname from you.
Even as a child, he never liked gum.
“It hurts my jaw,” he had whined. “Tic Tacs are just better! I can roll them around 'til they melt in my mouth. Superior candy.”
“Okay, you little freak,” you told him in jest, picking up the preferred mints and tossing them to him, the two of you wandering the isles of the nearby gas station after he begged you to take him for a car ride. “I’m gonna start calling you ‘Tic Tac Boy’ from now on.”
You kept your word, but over the years, it shortened to “Tic”. You used it so often, even his friends started referring to him by the moniker. He was begrudging at first, but then he just accepted it (guessed it served you right when Chris did the same thing to you a couple of months ago).
He had just turned sixteen.
The man before you looked tense, his brows furrowed as he chose his words carefully, “Kitty, she… she was with your parents.”
A sob wrenched itself from your throat, burning all the way up from the stabbing agony that started behind your ribs. You ripped your hands from Chris, digging your fingernails into your own legs hard enough to draw blood. You would have, were it not for your thick cargo pants protecting the flesh of your thighs from the filthy, jagged edges.
Kitty’s chubby, angelic little face and bright smile flashed through your mind. You could hear her gleeful shrieks as you chased her through the house, tickling her every time you caught up.
Gone. It was all gone.
Your brain bombarded you with the image of her charred corpse, nothing but the shape of her tiny body remaining in the ruins of the city you both grew up in. The city you both loved.
You could see your parents holding her between them, trying with all they could to shield her from the blast, heads bowed and pressed together.
Chris pulled you into his embrace, your face shoved into his chest as your wails echoed in the small room, muffled only slightly by the cotton of his shirt.
“She was just a baby, Chris! She was just a baby!”
“I know. I’m sorry, Lucky. I’m so sorry.” His large hand ran over the top of your head soothingly as you shook violently in his arms.
You don’t think you had ever felt so hopeless in your life, not even after your mother died.
Your brother, though. Chris didn’t say what happened to your brother.
You pulled back, a crazed sort of look in your eye. “Tic, what about Tic?!”
“He was the only one who made it out.”
Relief flooded through you. “Thank god. Thank god he’s okay.”
There was one good thing. One silver lining peeking through blackened clouds.
He lost everyone and everything he ever loved, you thought, anguished on your kid brother’s behalf, but at least he’s alive.
Chris looked like he wanted to say more but refrained as he watched you unravel before him.
“Is there… is there anything else?” you managed.
You were trying to keep from breaking into pieces, but it felt like your whole body was revolting against you–like it wanted to rip itself open and spill all this grief onto the floor, desperate for any way to get it out of you.
He shook his head. “No. That’s everything.”
You nodded, thinking for a moment you could pull yourself back together. But one thought of your parents, of your little sister, had you crumbling all over again.
“I think… I think I need to be alone,” you told him with shaky breaths, hating the tremor that laced your voice.
“Are you sure?” He looked reluctant to let you go, to leave you there, suffering by yourself.
You needed it, though–needed to feel this pain that shuddered through you, sharper than any blade or broken bone. If you didn’t let it out, you thought it might kill you.
But you didn’t want anyone, even Chris, to witness you fall apart completely.
“Please, go.”
He nodded, squeezing you against him one last time, and stood. When he reached the door, hand on the knob, he turned to you with a sorrowful expression on his face.
“If I could go back and change it all, Lucky, I would in a heartbeat.”
You gave him a ghost of a smile through your tears as you responded, “I know.”
With that, he was gone.
You fell forward against your bed, screaming at the top of your lungs into the pillow beneath you until your voice withered in your throat.
Nothing is fine.

doubts.
| loki x reader | fluff |
anon requested. loki kinda degraded sub!reader and she scrunches up all tiny and sobs afterwards because she thought he meant what he said
cw: slightly smutty, slightly angsty
Tumblr media
You begged Loki to let you come, fighting against the magical restraints your dom had placed around your wrists and ankles.
“Oh, you want to come so bad you’re crying? You desperate, pathetic whore. You’re so fucking filthy, have you no shame?” Loki sneered, the words sending arousal pooling deep in your belly, even though you fought against it. Your body jolted at the slap administered to your inner thigh, a pained cry escaping your lips.
You’d been acting up and testing Loki’s patience, which is what earned you this punishment, your pleasure being dangled in front of you, just out of reach. You’d broken his rules, and he’d had enough of your attitude.
“Come now before I change my mind,” Loki’s tone was dangerous, and the pressure inside of you shattered. He followed your lead, finishing inside of you before he pulled out and made the restraints vanish.
As the pleasure wore off, his words echoing in your mind, You desperate, pathetic whore. You’re so fucking filthy, have you no shame?
Loki stood off of the bed, going to run you a hot shower. As soon as he’d stepped away, a sob tore through your chest, your shoulders heaving as you cried. You curled up in a ball, feeling small and alone on his massive bed.
Loki heard you crying, and he felt like his heart was being ripped out of his chest. He abandoned the shower and ran to your side, kneeling down on the bed. You looked so tiny and fragile, folding in on yourself. His chest ached when he heard your soft sounds and saw the way your hands trembled as you tugged at your hair, trying to self-soothe. He reached out to pull your hands away, wanting to keep you from anxiously tearing the hair from your sensitive head.
“My darling-” his voice cracked when you jerked away from him. You hiccuped on your broken sobs as they wrecked you, emotion flooding every last thought and turning you into a mess.
Loki’s magic sparked around you, cleaning you up and leaving you both in loose clothing. The green shimmer surrounded you, Loki’s fruitless attempt to touch you without frightening you. It was warm, and seemed to buzz with its own life, but didn’t make you feel any better.
“My darling, have I hurt you? Tell me whatever is wrong so that I may fix it,” Loki begged, wanting nothing more than to pull you into his arms.
“Don’t touch me, please,” you tried to catch your breath, wanting to get your keys and leave.
He sank back, giving you space. His eyes were concerned and sad, and he fought against the urge to pierce into your mind, ripping the truth from you. The door vanished from the wall as you tried to run out, and you whipped around to face the god, who was kneeling on the bed and looking wounded. There was no exit, Loki keeping you contained to the bedroom until your devastation was resolved.
“Y/N, I won’t let you leave when you’re so upset. You cannot drive safely. If you wish, I can take you anywhere you want to go,” Loki fretted, and though you knew he was right, you only grew more and more upset.
“Come to me, darling,” Loki opened his arms, the authority in his voice making you comply. You knew this was a fight you couldn’t win. You’d end up in Loki’s arms confessing your pain whether by his will, or your own.
Your sobs broke his heart, and he slowly wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you down into his lap. He held you firmly, and eventually your struggling subsided as you let yourself weep against his chest.
“Please don’t make me pry the truth out of you,” Loki begged softly into your hair. He didn’t want to add to your pain, he only wanted to fix it. He was very aware that sifting through your mind to take your private thoughts was something that made you feel extremely violated. He wanted you to tell him on your own, but he wouldn’t let you keep such heartbreaking secrets from him.
“Y-you... did you mean what you said about me? That I was pathetic, and d-desperate and a whore?” You sobbed out, stammering over your words.
“Oh, oh my goodness. My darling, I am so sorry. I never meant any of that. I thought you understood I just said it in the scene... please my love, I adore you more than all of the stars. Never think you are not the most perfect, beautiful, eloquent, and lovely person in my eyes. I love you, I will never say such horrible things again.” Tears flowed freely down Loki’s face. You were startled, unused to seeing raw emotion from him, especially not guilt. It hadn’t occurred to you that the words Loki had spoken were just part of the scene, part of the sex you were having. He wasn’t typically fond of degradation, but he was experimenting in the moment, never expecting it to be received as genuine.
There was no room for doubt in his words. He meant his love then, and he would spend the rest of his life proving his love to you.
His strong arms cradled you against his body, trying to hold you together.
“I’m so sorry, so sorry,” he breathed apologies like a repetitive prayer.
You listened to his heartbeat, letting the rhythm slow your racing mind. Your sobs eventually subsided, calmed by the steady circles of his hand on your back.
“I forgive you,” your lips moved against the underside of his jaw.
“Please always stop me, tell me then, if anything at all makes you feel even the slightest bit unsafe. I never want you to feel this way again, certainly not at my fault,” Loki begged, and you nodded before burying your face back in him.
“Do you still love me?”
“I love you the most,” you promised.
Loki talked you into staying the night, doting on you to the point you were almost smothered. His magic conjured everything you wanted, even in the back of your thoughts.
“Do you want to go get some?” He asked, and you turned, tilting your head in confusion.
“To Paris. For the macarons.”
“You’re reading my thoughts,” you sighed softly, but a smile graced your expression as you kissed him.
“No, I’m sleepy. Maybe tomorrow?” You asked, and he nodded, sweeping you off your feet and carrying you back to bed.
You situated yourself in his arms, your back against his chest. His larger frame shielded you, wrapping you in safety and warmth. You slept soundly with him, the pain and uncertainty from the afternoon long gone and replaced by his love.
The smell of coffee rose you out of your sleep. Your eyes took a few moments to adjust to the soft light spilling in through the windows, and you sat up, suddenly realizing you weren’t in Loki’s bedroom at his apartment, where you’d fallen asleep.
“Loki?!” You called, and he leaned in the doorway.
“Good morning. I didn’t mean to frighten you. We took a short trip in your sleep. We’re at my Paris flat.”
You smiled, stretching your arms above your head as you yawned. Loki put a coffee in your hands, leaning down and kissing your forehead.
“If I cry will you spoil me more often?” You teased lightly, and he shot you his signature dom look of warning, making you shudder.
“It breaks my heart to see you cry, my darling,” Loki’s tone was apologetic, guilt still left over from the day before. You squeezed his arm as you sipped your coffee.
“I’m okay,” you swore, earning another kiss from your lover.
“Mm. Finish that up and we’ll go to the patisserie down the street.”
“Yes, sir.”
He smiled, happy you were cheered up and back to normal. He moved his fingers and a pretty sundress appeared hanging on the back of the washroom door for you, delicate white flats placed below.
“Dressing me up like your little doll?”
“Careful, or I will dress you, after I get that attitude in line.”
“I love the dress. And I can put it on by myself,” you apologized, pecking his lips before walking to the bathroom.
You returned in the sundress, a white beret adorning your head along with it. You relished in the bright smile Loki rewarded you with. In a shimmer of green, he was dressed in pastels that matched your own. You loved to see him in casual clothes instead of the Asgardian armor he frequently wore, and he indulged you for this small Parisian vacation.
“You look stunning, my darling.”
Giggles erupted from your lips, making Loki’s heart soften. He dipped his head down to kiss you, making your nose scrunch up in the cutest way that he loved. His long, slender fingers folded with yours, holding your hand as the two of you made your way out of the flat and onto the bustling street. You were thankful for the sunny weather, greatly improving your mood from the rough night in New York’s rain.
“Feeling better?”
“Much,” you nodded.
“Let’s get some crepes. Sound good?”
“Sounds perfect, Loki.”
The young god pecked your lips before pushing you inside of a patisserie.
“Salut,” the girl working called to the two of you as the bell clinged on the door.
“Darling, what would you like? We can take some macarons to go,” Loki asked, pointing to the pastries behind the glass.
You chose a few, and Loki rattled off your order in French to the shopkeeper, taking the bag from her and moving you to sit at a table in the corner for your crepes.
“Can we stay in Paris for a couple of days? Just us, not any of the distractions from New York,” you asked, leaning your head against his shoulder and accepting the bite he fed you.
“Most certainly.” He kissed the sugar off of your lips before the two of you left for a park with your snacks for later. Loki held your hand as you walked along a low stone wall beside him, your eyes level with the extra height.
“Y/N, you must know that you are so, so terribly loved.”
You turned and snaked your arms around his neck, looking deep into his crystal blue eyes.
“I do not doubt your love, Loki.”

celebrating mother’s day with you
Tumblr media
tsukishima kei ; sugawara kōshi ; oikawa torū ; kita shinsuke
headcanon ; fluff ; age up ; snippets of cuteness ; parenthood ; special edition — mother’s day
note: i’m not sure if i portrayed each characterization well but i just thought it’ll be fun to write one. after all, i was blessed to be born with loving parents and i just wanted to share the love i’m grateful for.
tagging: @forgetou @amjustagirl @yacoka @haikyuutothetop @luvnami ;; thank you for dropping these characters as i couldn’t decide who to write for. (of course it was more exciting without context)
ps. it’s longer than expected i’m sorry :’)
Tumblr media
tsukishima kei
tsukishima isn’t one who would remember special occasions unless someone had schedule a plan in advance with him. when he wondered if he should do anything for you after hearing his colleagues whispering during break, his work got busier than usual so he had forgotten about it.
that was, until he realized he had ten missed calls from his son; which was odd because he weren’t one to call him so often.
“i was in a meeting, what hap—” before tsukishima could finish his sentence, his son interrupted him, “i bought mom’s favorite cake since you’re slow. hurry home or there’s none left for you,” the line was cut right after; which of course left poor tsukishima’s partner to deal with the aftermath. “tsukishima-san, about the report—”
“it must be so urgent that it needs my immediate attention even when i’m packing up right?” his words dripped of pure sarcasm despite the polite smile hanging from his lips. everyone could literally see the panic swirling in his partner’s pupil.
“i’m sorry!! good work today and see you tomorrow!!” it’s the weekend tomorrow, but tsukishima was too hung up on his son’s attitude to shoot another of his sarcastic reply.
you, on the other hand, were neither someone who would celebrate such occasion unless it was for birthdays or holidays. therefore, you didn’t really had anything in mind nor were you expecting anything as well.
when you finally reached home from a tiring day at work, you were definitely not expecting to see your favorite cake on the table while your son popped a party popper with a party horn in his mouth right beside you.
“happy mother’s day!” he tried to mumble out with the horn still in his mouth. you couldn’t help but chuckle at the unexpected surprise, dropping your bag on the counter just so you could hug him—one that he wholeheartedly hugged you back because tsukishima wasn’t around.
it took an hour for tsukishima to be home, a small bouquet of flowers in his hand when he walked over to where you and the cheeky lad was sitting. “oh! you didn’t have to though,” you smiled in surprise.
“dad’s just guilty he forgot about our promise and didn’t want to come home empty handed.” you chuckled at that, perhaps it wasn’t entirely wrong either but you still appreciate the sentiment. it was rare for him after all.
“those who break promises don’t get desserts.” he continued to press his dad’s buttons, only to see tsukishima loosened his tie with an expression he could not understand.
“oh, but that’s on your mom to decide if i’ll get one tonight or not.” you could feel your face heating up at your husband’s words, the tone and smile that dawned on his face was a look you knew oh so well.
“tch...i thought i hid it well.” of course, your clueless son didn’t know the true meaning of those words and thought the strawberry shortcake he bought for his dad was found out.
Tumblr media
sugawara kōshi
sugawara would definitely plan in advance with the children. especially when they were the ones who excitedly wanted to do something for you.
“mama like animals! lets go to the zoo!” the middle child exclaimed with so much enthusiasm, sugawara could only chuckle at her adorable smile.
“you only said that because you wanted to go to the zoo, dummy.” the eldest one huffed, feeling proud that he saw through her obvious tactic.
it didn’t take long for the two to start crawling over each other in a fight while the youngest one giggled amusingly as if she was watching a performance. that was, until an insult was thrown at her so she joined in the fight to prove her worth.
“if you don’t stop now, we’ll be celebrating at home like how we did the past two years.” that immediately ceased all action, since they haven’t had the chance to go out together as a whole family thanks to your busy schedule.
“how about the park? the cherry blossoms have bloomed and mama likes going to the park!” of course, sugawara was fond of this idea. it’s been a while since there was a family picnic session.
and so on that very day in which you finally managed to take a day off, you weren’t expecting to be blind folded while having your children guide you to wherever you were supposed to be.
knowing how clumsy the trio could be, he wanted to accompany them as well but was outright rejected when they said they could do it themselves with so much confidence, he wasn’t sure who they got it from.
with their tiny hands, it took a while for them to tie the piece of cloth around your eyes, and even when they did, it wasn’t tied well enough so you could actually still see your footing (which saved you immensely from all the accidental knocks along the way)
after what felt like forever, you finally reached the park where they shouted ‘happy mother’s day’ in unison. you kind of already knew it’ll be a picnic from the soft grass beneath your feet and those fallen pink petals, but you were still moved to tears when you saw your children squeezed together into your husband’s arms while cute decoration and plates of food were spread between you and them.
“mama, try the cookie first! i made them myself!” the middle one was the first to break the silence.
“no! try my sandwich first, i’m the eldest!”
“so what if you’re the eldest? mama must be thirsty from walking so have my ultimate happy berry juice!” the youngest chirped with pride, as if her logic was a straight pass to winning.
you laughed at their competitive nature, which was oh so endearing at the same time. and it was obvious if you don’t decide soon, an all out food war was going to happen.
“before that, shouldn’t mama receive papa’s present first?” sugawara’s cheerful voice interrupted their little argument, and just before the youngest could ask what it was, her eyes was covered by the eldest son along with the middle one.
you couldn’t help but hit his arm in embarrassment when his lips met yours longer than it should’ve been.
“hey! that’s not fair, i didn’t get to see papa’s present,” your middle one sulked, only to be carried into sugawara’s arms as he peck her little cheek with a wink. “why don’t you ask mama what it was, baby?”
Tumblr media
oikawa torū
it was supposed to be a big surprise where he came home earlier than the date he had told you. he even told the kids about it and they promised to make it a success (money was definitely involved to be honest)
“make sure you delay mummy at the grocery store long enough for me to set everything up in time.” he reminded his daughter time and time again, only to have her sigh at his impatience.
“i think i’m old enough to not forget something so simple dad. and please stop addressing mom like that, it’s creepy.” she cringed, wondering how you even deal with oikawa every day.
“dad, have you even baked a cake before? do you think you can get it done within an hour or maybe two?” his son asked the third time that day, which did irk oikawa with that tone of his.
“of course i can! are you looking down on me? it’s just a simple vanilla cake and some fruits on top. how hard can it be?”
of course, with every rhetorical question that pose a challenge, there would always be an answer exactly of what’s to be expected.
you, with no idea that your husband was making a mess of your kitchen, took your own sweet time at the grocery store since your daughter was there to help and it’s been a while since you had a mother and daughter bonding time.
“do you think your dad would like to have curry tomorrow? or should we just have hamburger steak?” you asked, still unsure of the menu for a celebratory dinner.
“i think he would like anything you cook, so don’t worry about it. dad’s always so happy to eat your homemade meals.” she answered with shrug, but you could tell she was happy to rely the same sentiment.
everything went smoothly and she did managed to stall your time with her longer than the agreed duration. that was, until she received a text from her brother saying dad’s cake was a failure and they should just get one outside; you two were already at the apartment lift when she read it.
“dad, i think you should just give up. they are already walking over from the—” oikawa having enough of his son’s constant nagging about how he should’ve just bought a cake instead, threw a whiff of flour to his son’s face without thinking.
and of course, which kid would not retaliate from that. the kitchen, which originally wasn’t as messy, turned into chaos of white fluff and sticky childish banter between the two.
you, not expecting to see your husband, was clearly surprise when you heard his voice by the door. the only excitement that came from that vanished the moment your eyes fell onto the state of your kitchen.
“happy mother’s day?” oikawa managed to choke out when he felt your growing presence with each step towards him.
“i’m sorry mom, it was my fault please don’t kill dad—” your son pleaded softly by the side, only to fell speechless when you threw yourself into oikawa’s arms instead.
“welcome home,” you greeted with so much warmth, oikawa couldn’t help but embraced you tightly as he replied, “i’m home.”
“mom? you’re not mad?” your daughter asked in disbelief when she brought the groceries – including the ones you dropped – over to the kitchen.
“mad? why would i be when you dad’s sleeping in the kitchen tonight.” you were so serious and certain, the two broke into fits of laughter as they ran from their father (which was fertile because they got caught immediately and was tickled to tears)
“why are you laughing when you two are having a sleepover with daddy tonight.”
“please dad, just stop.”
Tumblr media
kita shinsuke
there was no surprises because kita’s way of celebrating was just regular activities but doing it together. which was honestly, what you love to do most since you don’t always get the chance of spending weekdays with your family often.
from preparing meals to visiting town, usually it would be done by kita himself. however, this time because of the special occasion, you took time off to accompany your husband while bringing your little ones along with you.
“mama here’s the carrot,” your little girl placed the orange vegetable on the chopping board before humming a tune while the other twin helped kita with picking the ends of the beansprouts.
“papa are we going to town later?” she beamed excitedly, hands still working on the tiny vegetable while her legs swung to the rhythm of her twin sister’s melody.
“yes, we are. do you have a place you want to visit?” he was done with his side so he continued onto the pile his daughter was removing.
“yes! we want to go to onigiri miya!” they both said at the same time, giggling right after when their father looked surprise.
“all right, let’s go after our lunch.” and everything went along smoothly with the little twins setting the table together while you and kita took turns to cook up the dishes. lunch was pleasant despite minimal words being exchanged since the twins were taught to not talk with their mouth full (and their mouth are always stuffed full)
while you and kita held hands with the twins walking hand in hand by themselves in front, the feeling of nostalgia seemed to tickle your bones at the memory of how you used to take long strolls with kita during your younger days.
“what’s wrong?” kita tugged your hand gently which snapped you back to reality when you realized you all have reached the store.
“nothing...i’m just grateful to be your wife and mother of two beautiful angels.” your smile had him press a fluttering kiss to your temple as he softly replied, “me too.”
“i see yer two are still as lovey-dovey as ever captain.” atsumu popped his head out from the entrance, both twins sitting comfortably on his arms as he carried them as if they were feathers.
“i’m not your captain anymore atsumu, but i see they both seemed to like you.” kita smiled at his two lovely dolls, one that atsumu have never seen much of because of his busy schedule.
“of course, who do you think i am? the better—” but before atsumu could even finish his flex, the two snapped their head over at the appearance of osamu in his apron. their hands immediately reaching out for the man to hug.
“uncle osamu!!” they squealed happily, trying their best to squirm out of atsumu’s grip.
“i guess not huh ‘tsumu,” osamu smirked at the annoyed twin, patting his hands dry before prying the little twins from his brother’s vice grip. of course, they both would fight over the kid’s affection. who wouldn’t right?
you watched the pair of twins in amusement with your head against kita’s shoulder as he wrapped an arm around your delicate frame. this too will be yet another moment kita would not forget, for he felt blissful to be their father and your husband.

Tumblr media
Yellow. Sunshine, flowers, freshly pressed gold. Everything that’s eternally happy and pure and good.
Yellow. Sickness, potions gone bad, poison. Bile when there’s nothing left to throw up.
Yellow. Kissing, and fighting, and doing. The color of life itself.
The color of the pumpkins growing in Professor Sprout’s greenhouse and of her nails as she writes notes on information long ingrained in her memory.
“Can anyone tell me the name for what is in front of you all right now?” Professor Sprout’s jolly voice rings through the greenhouse and you can’t help but smile as you raise your hand.
Sprout nods at you, a smile on her face too, knowing quite well that you’ll tell her what she wanted to hear and more.
“It’s a cucurbita pepo, also known as a pumpkin. They’re grown during the summer months and then harvested in autumn, just in time for the muggle celebration of Halloween. They are used in cooking quite often however they are rich in tryptophan, which is converted to serotonin upon consumption, which in turn causes fatigue. Thus cucurbita pepo seeds are used in certain forms of the sleeping draught potion. It’s also why we get sleepy after eating pumpkin pie.”
You giggle at the end of your spiel and the sound trickles through the greenhouse and wraps around a certain blonde at the back of the class who is furiously writing down everything you just said. You don’t notice, though, you’re too busy revelling in Sprout’s approving nod. She begins speaking in depth about the facts you shared and you hurry to write them in your journal, the one that you keep specifically for herbology. It’s filled with plants of all kinds, each with detailed notes and sketches that you drew yourself.
When you flip to your page on pumpkins you begin adding notes you don’t have, just a few details here and there. You aren’t gifted in every subject, not like Hermione, but you are proud to admit that you excel in herbology and know that you will keep the notes you have been working on for many years to come. You brush your sunshine nails across the page as Sprout rattles on about the antioxidants and other nutrients found in Pumpkins. Vitamin A, magnesium, potassium. You already have it all written down.
“Those are well done,” you’re startled by a voice emanating from over your shoulder, “no wonder you’re so good at this class. Your notes are amazing.”
You’re shocked to find none other than Draco Malfoy standing behind you, towering over you and peering curiously at the sketches that you made of some pumpkins a few days earlier. You know the Hufflepuffs share this class with the Slytherins but usually your groups don’t mix. As in they never do. It’s well known throughout the school that Slytherins hate Hufflepuffs. A lot. So it’s only natural that you, one of the softest Hufflepuffs in the school, cower slightly in the presence of the prince of the Slytherins.
“Oh, um,” you shuffle closer to the table, putting some space between you and him, “thank you, Draco.”
His eyes widen when you say his name and the entire class goes silent. Even professor Sprout ducks her head, stopping her rambling and busying herself with watering a patch of sunflowers behind her. Regret immediately floods your system and you feel slightly sick. Every eye in the class is on you and him, waiting with bated breath to see what happens next. You almost expect him to slap you by the way everyone is acting. You curl into yourself, pulling your hands into your sleeves. You’re undeniably terrified.
What happens next though astounds everyone, most of all you. Draco doesn’t quite smile but his eyes crinkle at the corners and he reaches his hand out, curling his fingers around your shoulder gently. Your head springs up at the contact, fuzzy and spinning. What is he doing?
“You’re welcome, y/n.”
Your cheeks immediately heat at the sound of your name coming from his lips. Since when does he know who you are?
He lets go of your shoulder and looks around the greenhouse, as if noticing the eyes on the two of you for the first time, “what are you all staring at? Mind your own bloody business.”
And just like that the sound and bustle of the greenhouse returns to normal, if not a little more forced and with a few more whispers than before. He nods at you, your entire face burning this time, and walks back to his spot, falling into conversation with his housemates like nothing had happened.
You run a hand through your hair before returning to your notes, trying to fend off the peppermint scent still clinging to your jumper.
The color of the potion that earns his house ten extra points.
You have never been good at potions class. You can try to blame it on Professor Snape, claim that he has it out for you and is the reason all your potions bubble a puke green and smell of death, but that would just be avoiding the truth. The horrible, disheartening, and cruel truth that is, quite simply, that you are absolute garbage at brewing potions.
Draco, on the other hand, is the best chemist Hogwarts has seen in years it seems. Even better than local witch prodigy Hermione Granger. Again, you could blame it on your professor. You could argue that since Snape was also a Slytherin that he gives special favor to Draco. But that wouldn’t be fair to him.
You pout from your seat in potions class, watching the clock tick too slowly and too quickly at the same time. It’s much too slow given that this is your last class of the day and dinner is calling your name. It is, however, much too quick as you only have forty minutes left to complete the dreaded invisibility potion. In front of you lay the ingredients, taunting you relentlessly. The invisibility potion is among one of the more difficult potions you have to master before the end of year exam and, so far, you’ve had no luck.
“Well done, Mr. Malfoy. This is the fifth time you’ve completed your potion first and without error. ten points,” at the sound of Snape’s voice, and the cheering from Draco’s housemates, your head slumps, “perhaps now in your spare time you could help Miss. y/l/n. She seems to be having,” he clicks his tongue sharply, “difficulty.”
Your head snaps up, turning to face the blonde boy across the room, your cheeks fiery. His blue eyes, in turn, are wide, much like your own. You’re a deer caught in the headlights of the freight train that is Draco Malfoy. You’re frozen at the thought of having to speak to him and of having him answer you. As he starts to get up, textbooks in tow, you finally thaw. You think back to the greenhouse, and his hand on your shoulder, and feel the color draining from your face.
“Professor that isn’t necessary, I can-”
Snape silences you with a flick of his wrist, “you can fail on your own instead of take help when it’s offered?”
You just lower your head, mumbling a “no, sir” and pretending to search your textbook. Your heartbeat skyrockets as the blonde boy joins you. He places his own textbook next to yours, his long fingers skimming the pages. Your eyes are drawn to the rings on his fingers and you want to ask him about them but the two of you aren’t close like that and you don’t want to make it more awkward than it already is. The same peppermint scent floats around you, stronger this time. You swallow tensely, feeling once more the eyes of your peers.
“I’m sorry,” you mumble more into your cauldron than to him, “I know you don’t want to help me. You can just pretend if you want and I’ll figure out this mess myself.”
You stare at the bubbling, black potion and hold back the nausea. It is very much not the sunshine yellow that it’s supposed to be. You sigh and tuck your hair behind your ears. You begin crushing chameleon scales in silence. You can feel his stare on the side of your face, searing into your cheekbone. You do your best to stay focussed but you can barely concentrate under the weight of his gaze. Being this close to the Slytherin boy still makes you nervous. What kind of nervousness, that is though, you aren’t so sure.
You’re startled when he takes the ingredients from your hands, his fingers brushing yours lightly, “I never said I didn’t want to help you.”
You look up at him, meeting his eyes and giving him a soft smile, one that makes his eyes widen and his fingers clench. That’s all it takes for the two of you to begin fixing your botched potion. You work side by side, silently except for when he asks you to hand him some ingredients. It’s hypnotic, watching him take what you ruined and make it all better. You feel almost special for a moment before you shake your head slightly, clearing the silly thought. You don’t notice him watching you from the corner of his eye, his lips slightly turned as he notes how flustered you are.
By the end of the class your potion is it’s proper sunshine yellow again and you feel entirely relieved. Although you can’t help but worry about tomorrow's class and how you’ll have to do it all over again.
As if reading your mind Draco turns to you, his hand on your book preventing you from darting away, “do you want to be partners?”
Oh boy.
The color of the scarf she wraps around him when she finds him asleep in the courtyard.
It’s mid October and the days have already begun getting shorter. The air is crisp and stings your ears as you walk through the courtyard, admiring the changing leaves during your spare period. You’re the only person there, the chill in the air having deterred the other students from crowding the benches and tree stumps. You don’t mind. You needed a little bit of quiet today.
You’ve been a little out of it all week. Some Slytherins had been making your life a little hard, goading you in the hallways and talking loudly about you whenever you were in ear shot. You have no doubt that it’s about Draco helping you in potions. You don’t talk to him outside of class. Merlin, you barely speak to him in class. You just copy his notes and let him guide you through the potions. You definitely don’t deserve the torment but you can’t do anything about it so you’ve just been trying your best to ignore it.
You take a corner, rounding a rather large oak tree before you suddenly halt. You come inches away from a boy slumped against the base of the tree. His eyes are shut and soft snores fall from his gaped mouth. Upon further inspection, that is noting his green and silver jumper and white blonde hair, you realize that it’s Draco. Your pulse picks up as soon as you see him, your eyes taking in the school books scattered around him. He must have been studying, or trying to at least.
Your heart aches for him. You wonder what on earth could have possibly made him exhausted enough to fall asleep in the freezing courtyard. As if on cue, the wind picks up and you ring your hands together to create some heat. You move around him quickly, closing his textbooks and piling them next to his bag. You put the cap on his ink bottle and tuck his quill next to it and the books.
You step away from him. You don’t want him to wake up and have him find you hovering over him. For just a second, though, you admire how peaceful he looks while he’s sleeping. Usually his forehead is creased and his lips pursed. Right now, however, he’s relaxed. He looks his age for once: seventeen and alive. Alive, just asleep. You sigh as you look at the boy, wishing you could wrap your arms around him.
As you go to walk away, you take one last look at his face. Your heart pangs again at his rosy nose and cheeks. His ears are also a bright red, bitten from the cold and definitely painful. You don’t think before you act, you just take the grey and yellow scarf from around your neck and carefully wrap it around his. You make sure it covers his ears and nose, sofly pulling the ends to wrap around his hands as well.
You take one last look at him. You don’t know what comes over you but you lean down and press a soft kiss to his hair. He smells like green apples today and your heart aches more than ever.
The color of the first snitch he caught as captain and the color of her sweater from the front row.
It’s the first quidditch match of the year, Gryffindor versus Slytherin, and you’re more excited than you can say. There have been rumours spreading that Slytherin has a new captain and everyone has been dying to know who. They’ve kept it under wraps, no doubt wanting to stun Gryffindor during the match. The stands around you howl in anticipation, practically vibrating from all the voices speaking at once.
The wind whips around your ears, loud and bone chilling, and you think for a moment to the scarf you left with Draco. You blow in your hands, warming them before wrapping them around your ears. Hogwarts really needs to work on bettering the stands or at least accommodate them for the colder months.
You’re with a few of your friends, each one of you more high on adrenaline than the last. You stand in your bright yellow jumper at the front of the stands, gripping the railing and watching the field for any signs of movement. You’re more excited to see the Slytherin team than anyone else. Perhaps that’s because Draco has been on the team since second year and you now get to stare at him for an entire game, uninterrupted. You shake your head quickly. Where did that come from?
“Y/n, where’s your scarf? It’s freezing out here!” you turn to your best friend, Luna, and give her a small smile, your cheeks red but not from the cold.
Luna has a lion hat on her head and you can’t help but giggle. It’s definitely protecting her from the cold.
“Someone needed it more than I did,” you rub your hands together again.
She smiles at you like she knows you gave it to Draco but that would be impossible. She pulls you into her side, letting you share her body heat again. You speak a little about the upcoming match but ultimately end up doing more teeth chattering than talking. Soon there are trumpets blaring and you can’t stop yourself from leaning against the railing of the bleachers once more, your heart pounding in your chest.
Everyone holds their breath, the only sound throughout the stadium is the howling wind. Your head pounds, not from a headache but from the blood rushing through your body, electrified. You grip the railing right, the cold of the metal stinging your fingertips. The hairs on the back of your neck raise instinctively. They’re so close, you can feel it in your bones.
You blink and the next thing you know the sky is streaked with green, smoke billowing around the players who fly in a tight ‘V’ formation. You squint your eyes, just like every other student and professor around you, trying to make out who is leading the pack. When you catch a glimpse of his white blonde hair your mouth drops. Before you can register what’s happening, you’re cheering like mad. The wind picks up your hair, whipping it around your face as you throw your hands up and scream like you don’t have a care in the world for what anybody else thinks of you. And you don’t, not right now while the boy you think you’re falling for has just been announced as the new Slytherin captain.
Before you know it Luna has joined in, screaming with you, not for the sake of Draco but because you look like you’re having fun for the first time in weeks. She grabs your hand, waving your arms in the air and shouting into the wind. With the two of you screaming together it’s just enough for Draco to hear over the wind. He turns his head, his eyes easily pulling your yellow jumper from the sea of blue around you. He smirks and your heart stops. Before you can even begin to process the glint in his eyes he’s in front of you, hovering over the railing on a broom that looks like it costs more than your life. He’s biting back a cheeky smile.
You let go of Luna’s hand, stepping towards him, “Draco, you made captain!”
You don’t know where you gained the sudden courage to talk to him like you’re friends but right now you don’t care. All you can see is the boy on the broom, smiling at you like you’ve never seen him smile before. The stands around you roar but you can’t hear them. They don’t exist, not right now at least.
“You know it, pumpkin,” your heart stops, you mouth gaping at his casual use of a nickname, and he laughs, a real and absolutely mind melting laugh, “I can’t stay but I got something for you. I noticed you look a little chilly.”
He pulls the green and silver scarf from around his neck, wrapping it around yours but keeping hold of the two ends. The stands fall silent but it doesn’t matter, you still can’t see or hear anything but Draco. He tugs on the ends of the scarf, bringing your face inches away from his own. You almost think he’s going to kiss you for a moment. Oh, what you wouldn’t give for him to kiss you right now. Anything, you would give absolutely anything. Instead, though, he leans down and rubs his nose against yours and you giggle easily.
He lets go of the scarf, flying off to start the game but not before turning around and shouting, “wish me luck, pumpkin!”
You giggle again, your face flushing, “you don’t need luck, Draco!”
He winks and flies to meet his teammates. The game is fast paced and intense. Your eyes stay glued to him the entire time. His nickname wraps around every part of you, his voice echoing in your ears, warming you better than any scarf. You aren’t at all surprised when he catches the golden snitch. No one in the stands cheers louder than you do.
The color of the bruises on his cheekbone and his knuckles and on Zabini’s fucking stomach.
Your back is pressed against the stoney wall of the castle, his chest almost touching yours. You’re backed into the corner, not daring to even breathe. His breath is hot on your face and you cringe backwards, your head cracking against the hard surface behind you.
Blaise Zabini pushes you closer to the wall, if that’s even possible, and you feel like an animal, trapped and frantic, “who do you think you are, puff?”
“I-,” you glance around his head, looking anywhere but his murderous eyes, “what are you talking about?”
That is clearly not the answer he is looking for, practically growling in your face, “what did you do to Malfoy?”
“Nothing!” you cower away from him, your blood turning cold at his accusatory tone.
You squeeze your eyes shut. If he’s going to hit you, you don’t want to see his fists before they land on you. Tears drip down your face relentlessly and you don’t care. They aren’t going to change anything. Blaise Zabini hates you and there is nothing you can do about it. Your mind goes immediately to Draco, something that doesn’t shock you anymore. All you think about these days is him.
Blaise’s breath smells like liquorice and death as he gets up in your face, “stay away from him, y/l/n, or you’ll regret it. I promise you that.”
Just like that, Blaise isn’t touching you anymore. The cold air of the castle wraps around you and you snap your eyes open, watching his retreating form stalk out of the hidden hallway he dragged you into. You sag against the brick behind you, finally letting the full on sobs that you had been holding in rise to the surface. You collapse, sliding down the stone, not caring as it scrapes and rips your shirt as you do so. You curl into a ball, letting all the pain from the last few weeks consume you.
You get lost in the memories. You see Pansy pushing you down the steps outside of the great hall and Crabbe lacing your soup with a puking potion. You hear all the insults and slurs that have been thrown at you ever since Draco complimented you in the greenhouse and it stings. Your chest and throat and wrists burn and you grip your hair in your fists, hoping that if you just tug hard enough then you can make every bad word said to you and every bruise disappear. Of course you can’t, but if you don’t try then you might lose yourself right here, right now. Well, more than you already are that is.
No matter how hard you tug, you can’t stop the cries from spilling out of your mouth. They mask the footsteps pounding towards you. You slam your fists into the marble floor repeatedly, your palms bruising. Your blood rushes through your ears, muffling the sounds of the castle and everyone in them. You hear your name being called but it sounds like whoever is shouting is underwater. Are they shouting, though, or are you just losing your mind? You hear your name again and you scream. You just want the voices to stop. Please, someone make them stop.
Gentle hands grab your fists before you can do any more damage to yourself, pulling you into a chest and wrapping two strong arms around your shoulders, “y/n, what’s going on? What happened?”
Draco’s voice is panicked. That’s the only word for it. He sounds absolutely terrified. His voice soothes you for a moment but soon you’re pushing against his chest, Blaise’s words in your ears again. Your palms collide with his chest as you shove him with all strength you have. It isn’t enough. Of course you aren’t strong enough to knock away a quidditch captain. His green apple scent clings to you, wrapped in his arms, and you cry harder. You clutch his shirt in your hands now, clinging to him for dear life. You cry out his name and his heart shatters.
“Y/n please, pumpkin, tell me what happened,” he kisses your hair hard, like he’s hoping it’ll magically calm you down.
And it does, sort of, but only when he trails kisses down the sides of your face and along your cheekbones as well. His lips are like a gift from the heavens, working quickly and easily to draw your attention from your showdown with Blaise and place it on him, and him alone. Soon your sobs have stopped completely. You’re still crying but you can breathe and that’s more than you would have been able to do on your own. When you finally wrap your arms around his neck he stops, pulling his head back to look into your eyes.
You swallow hard when you see his face, more importantly the tears slowly trailing down his creamy skin, “I’m sorry, Draco, you shouldn’t have to see me this way.”
“Stop,” he shushes and runs his hand up and down your back, trying not to grimace when his fingers slide over the rips in your shirt, “I’m just glad I found you. Now tell me what happened so I can’t beat up whoever made you so upset.”
You want to chuckle, because you know he’s trying to make you feel better, but you can’t, because you also know that when you tell him he’ll probably push you away too. You tug your lip between your teeth, looking over his shoulder and then back at him. You squeeze your eyes shut, you can’t look at him while you say it. You can’t see his face when he drops you.
“I don’t think you want to beat up Blaise, Draco.”
He lets go of you. Of course he lets go of you. Your veins sting as the cold air rushes around you again. You clench your fingers into tight fists, your nails digging into your palms. Your throat aches, like you’ve been poisoned and the antidote is walking away. You open your eyes to Draco at the end of the hall, just about to turn the corner. You do your best to choke back the sobs again but you can’t and even if you could what would be the point? He clearly already thinks you’re pathetic so honestly why bother anymore? You need to just let it all out.
When you do though, cry that is, he stops, his shoulders and back going rigid as he listens. He turns quickly and his eyes widen when he sees you. You take a step back, gripping your shirt, or what’s left of it, and smoothing the material beneath your fingers, doing your best to keep it together. This was the final straw, the last kick to a foundation that has already been crumbling, and you’re just waiting for everything to come caving in now so it can take you with it.
You don’t realise that your eyes are closed until there are hands on your body and you’re forced to open them again, “Draco, what are you doing-”
He smashes his lips against yours, fast and hard and unrelenting. He tastes like peppermint and desperation and, by god, does it breathe a new life into you that you cling to. He pulls your bottom lip between his teeth, biting down exactly where you had. His hands tangle through your hair, tilting your head slightly and tugging. You can feel his rings against your scalp and it’s the epitome of bliss. You have to to grab his cloak to keep from falling over, your entire body clay in his hands. He pulls back, barely so but in any way it’s still too far.
His lips brush yours as he speaks, his fingers massaging your scalp slightly, “I’ll be back, pumpkin, I promise,” he kisses you hard one more time, “but I really need to go beat Zabini into next month now.”
The color of the fireplace they fall asleep beside on Christmas Eve.
Your dorm is dreadfully empty and you feel a little bit alone, even if it’s only for a week or so. Your parents are renovating the house and decided it was best if you spend the holidays in a place that isn’t covered in dust and smells like paint. You know it’s for the best, and that you more than likely would have been miserable, but the Hufflepuff common room just isn’t the same without it’s usual life.
You pull a sweater over your head, grabbing your notebook before heading out to breakfast. The corridors are empty and it’s eerie, the only other faces being the ones held in frames. They smile at you as you pass and you wave politely, hurrying to the great hall.
When you step through the grand doors you finally see some real people, but not many. You see Harry Potter and Ron Weasley at the Gryffindor table and a few familiar faces in the Ravenclaw section, but none you know enough to join. You sigh, tucking your hair behind your ears. This is going to be a long week. As you turn to the Hufflepuff table, however, your eyes skim over a familiar blonde head buried in today’s paper. Your heart races as you switch courses, heading straight to the Slytherin table and trying not to lose your nerve.
You round the table, walking up behind Draco and stopping quietly. Whatever he’s reading has his full attention because he has yet to notice you. You take the moment to play with him a little.
You lean down, resting your head on his shoulder and whispering, “broomstick stocks are up three percent. That’s good I hear.”
Draco drops the paper and you giggle as he turns his face to look at you, the shock mixing with something gentler in his blue eyes. He jumps out of his seat immediately, pulling you into his arms and burying his face in your shoulder. You wrap your arms around his neck, lacing your fingers through his hair and melting into his warmth. The worry you felt walking into the great hall disappears at his touch. You press your face to his neck like it’s the most normal thing in the world.
“Y/n, what are you doing here? I thought you went home,” he mumbles into your shoulder, his lips brushing your sensitive skin.
You hold back the shiver. It takes all your willpower to not tilt your head and give him better access to your sweetest spot. You tighten your hands instinctively, forgetting they’re wrapped in his hair. You don’t mean to tug on the strands, and you almost feel bad about it, but at the noise that leaves his lips you almost do it again. It’s low and primal and, Merlin, you want to hear it again. His arms tighten around you and all the nerves in your body are painfully aware of every place his body meets yours.
And every place you wish it is but it isn’t.
You clear your throat lightly before you speak, clearing the lump but doing nothing to make your words any less breathy, “I could ask you the same thing, don’t your parents usually hold large parties during the holidays?”
His hands find your hips as you talk and the end of your sentence comes out as a mere whisper. You squeeze your eyes tighter, his touch driving you crazy in the middle of the damn dining hall. It’s not even ten yet!
“That’s exactly the reason I stayed,” his voice is strained, his hands squeeze your hips and you barely bite back the moan between your teeth, “however, pumpkin, now I see that it’s a fucking gift from Salazar himself that I did.”
You lift your head from his shoulder and meet his eyes, gasping at the sight. His pupils are blown wide and his lip is between his teeth. His hair is mused from your fingers running through it, pulling it, and it makes you want to do it again and again until he does something other than look at you like that. Like he's a starved lion and you’re his next meal. Or maybe you just want to tug until he does something about it.
He squeezes your hips again, harder than the last time, and this time you can’t hold back your moan. It’s quiet, thank Merlin, but he hears it. It wraps around him, like your scarf, and something in him snaps. Soon he’s dragging you into the hallway and you’re tripping on your feet trying to keep up with him. The few people in the great hall openly stare but, as has become your new norm, you don’t care. All you can think about is Draco and all the possibilities of where he could be taking you.
He drags you to an area of the castle you’ve never been to before: the dungeons. Your blood pumps quickly through your veins and you’re filled with adrenaline, each step feeling more like walking on a cloud than the last. His hand in yours is warm and strong, sure of himself and of you and, most importantly, that you want him. He looks at you over his shoulder, smirking at you in a way that makes you almost push him quicker down the halls. You glance around, noting the empty corridor. What is it people always say?
Fuck it.
You stop abruptly and he looks back at you again, only this time concerned. His expression doesn’t last though, probably because you push him against the wall and pull his lips to yours. You have to stand on your tiptoes to reach his face, your palms splayed against his flushed cheeks as you take your turn in pulling his lip between your teeth. You bite down gently and he moans into your mouth, a deep and masculine sound that makes you want to rip his clothes off right here in the middle of the hall. You press your body against his, needing to feel as much of him as you can get. Of course it isn’t enough. It never is.
He pushes back against you, clearly having enough of his passive position. He flips the two of you, pressing you deliciously into the stone behind you. His hands glide along your hips but, unlike in the great hall, they don’t stop there. No, Draco’s hands find your bare thighs and his fingers wrap around them, the cold metal of the rings biting into your soft flesh. You say a silent prayer to whoever up there was looking out for you enough to sway you to put a skirt on this morning.
His lips are still on yours and, when he all of a sudden lifts you and presses you harder against the wall with his hips, he swallows the moan that rips from your chest, matching it with an equally fierce groan. For the first time all morning he’s exactly where you need him and it’s absolutely breathtaking. You squeeze your legs around him, pulling him as close to you as you can get him. He doesn’t protest, rolling his hips against you and edging your vision with stars.
“Draco, common room. Now,” even as you say it your hands are on his shirt, already working at undoing it.
He wastes no time, rushing down the stairs with you still in his arms, still working on the buttons. He breathlessly murmurs the password before pushing through the door. You grab his face again, hungrily pulling his mouth to yours again as he sets you on a table. His hands find the hem of your jumper, ripping it over your head before tossing it aside. You finish opening the last button quickly, pulling his shirt from his shoulders and dropping it as well. You don’t think twice about letting it hit the ground.
You look back to him and feel breathless, the wild look in his eyes mixing with something so heart wrenchingly soft. His hands smooth up your exposed back, igniting your skin with a fire you’ve never felt before. He leans his face into your neck again, his lips finding where your shoulder and neck meet and pulling your skin between his teeth. The only thing you can think to push past your lips is his name, crying out into the room lit only by some embers in the grand fireplace.
“What do you want, pumpkin. Tell me what you want me to do and I’ll do it.”
You push him back slightly so you can look into his mesmerising eyes, “I want you to make love to me on every surface in this room.”
And he does just that.
Yellow. The color they fell madly in love to.

- "No fucking way, Spencer!" (Y/N) widened her eyes and laughed so hard tears filled her eyes. She was sitting at her desk at work, staring at her best friend, who could barely walk due to the two hours he had spent that morning training with Penelope.
- "Please, don't tell anyone."- he whispered and looked around the bullpen. He was too embarrassed already to let anyone else know he had to take the mandatory fit test. He wanted to avoid the jokes, especially Derek's.
- "Your secret is safe with me, as always, chipmunk"- (Y/N) smiled and bit her lips, trying not to laugh anymore- "But why on earth are you working out? You have enough case hours to cover a fit test!"
- "Apparently, I can't skip it this year. Both me and Penelope have to take it."- Spencer whispered and sat down very slowly, pain written all over his face.
His best friend stared at him reading the mix of embarrassment and physical pain he felt with each movement he made. (Y/N) smiled and opened one of her drawers, looking for the last Snicker she had hidden in case of need. Watching Spencer in pain was precisely the case. She stood up and handed him the candy, making his heart skip a beat. Spencer did his best to hide the blush on his cheeks and just looked away.
- "I can help you if you want."- (Y/N) whispered and cut him the most adorable smile she had.
- "Help me what?"
- "Working out."- she replied and bit her granola bar- "I can teach you how to kick ass, and I do look hot wearing sweat shorts."
Spencer nearly chook. He flushed and closed his eyes, trying to cover up his embarrassment. But (Y/N) giggled and turned around. Her job there was done. Now Spencer had to be picturing her in her sweat shorts.
Of course, he was. He couldn't stop, actually.
The two agents were the youngest of the team, and somehow sometimes in-between cases, it showed. Especially when they were on their own, and their conversations ended up in casual flirting.
(Y/N) was head over feet in love with Spencer, though she was never going to face it. God knows Penelope had tried to force her to deal with her feelings. But she was closed as an oyster. No matter how much Garcia insisted or how drunk they were, (Y/N) kept denying her true feelings in public.
Spencer wasn't indifferent. Not at all. As a matter of fact, he was in love with (Y/N). Everything about her bewitched him. Ever since the first time he laid eyes on her, he felt it. She was tailor-made for him. If only he weren't a nervous wreck each time he saw her...
After two years working together, Spencer had managed to overcome part of my shyness and awkwardness around (Y/N). They were best friends, and they would usually hang out in their free time. The little free time they had in the BAU. But even when they could playfully flirt all the time, Spencer was sure she didn't like him that way. He convinced himself she was just joking.
--
(Y/N) headed to the Batcave holding a large frappuccino and knocked on the half-opened door before walking in.
- "Penelope García, I had the feeling you were running caffeine low."
- "Oh my pretty little thing! How do you do it? You read my mind!"- the tech analyst nearly hyperventilated as soon as she held her ice and creamed coffee.
- "Reid and I were out for a little break, and I knew you would like one of these to cheer up your afternoon"- Garcia sipped her frappuccino and nodded. But as soon as she had finished savoring the perfect coffee, she asked.
- "So, you and Reid..."
- "We were out getting coffee, like the best friends we are."
- "But, there's coffee here in the kitchenette. There's no need to go out and get coffee unless you want to find an excuse to be alone with him."- (Y/N) raised an eyebrow and sighed. Garcia did that every single chance she got.
- "You and I know the FBI doesn't share our concept of "good" coffee."- (Y/N) looked at her friend and just smiled- "Besides, I told you, I felt you needed some extra sugar and joy in your life after your early workout session this morning."
- "That little snitch!"- (Y/N) chuckled and shook her head.
- "Don't get mad at Reid. He didn't tell me anything. I kind of figured there was something wrong 'cos he looked in so much pain just breathing."
- "Oh man, he is sored, but I am sure he would be way sorer if you train with him."
- "I offered myself to help him"- Garcia raised an eyebrow at (Y/N) 's words, and the young agent wide opened her eyes, blushing- "Stop staring at me like I'm a perv! I meant helping him train for the test. I could help you too."
- "Thank you, but no, thank you. I trained with you, and there's no way we are going to do all that boxing again."
- "Come on! You said you had fun!"
- "I did! I really did... but I could barely move the next day! And I had a date! I couldn't even dance, less doing... other... nevermind"- Penelope stopped herself in her tracks and shook her head.
- "Shit, PG!"- (Y/N) closed her eyes and chuckled- "Spare me the details."
- "Sorry... anyway... you and the little genius should definitely train in a more... horizontal way."
- "Garcia! Stop it!"- (Y/N) laughed and stood up- "I'm gonna go back to work 'cos clearly you have some hormonal issues today, and you are projecting."
- "Stop acting like you haven't thought about it!"- Garcia said and chuckled as her friend walked away.
- "I'm not telling you anything."
- "That means yes!"
- "No! it doesn't!"- (Y/N) was blushing; that's why she refused to turn around and look at Penelope.
- "Oh! It so does!"
--
The end of that day found Spencer even more sore, hungry and weary than he had felt in years. All he wanted to do was go home, eat pizza leftovers from the night before, and go straight to bed.
Until...
- "Hey, chipmunk!"- (Y/N) looked at Spencer, gathering all his things and getting ready to go home.- "Dinner at my place tonight. My treat."
- "I can pick the take out tonight?"- he said immediately and asked himself where did that come from if, a second earlier, all he wanted to do was to go to bed. Probably from the same place that kept coming back to the image of her in sweat shorts.
- "Even better. I'll cook"- (Y/N) answered and winked, playfully- "You deserve a proper homemade dinner after all the workout you did this morning."
Spencer looked at her and didn't even notice the silly smile on his face. If he had known how in love he was looking, he would have probably slapped himself. (Y/N) sighed and stood up.
- "I'm gonna take that silence as a "Great (Y/N)! Thank you! How considered! I'm so lucky to have you in my life".
Spencer rolled his eyes and shook his head.
- "Thank you, (Y/N). But I'll give you more praise if your food turns out to be eatable"- the young agent gasped, pretending to be insulted by his words, and hit Reid's arm with her knuckles.
- "Auch! (Y/N)!"
- "I'm being nice, and you are insulting me! I'm having second thoughts about driving you over!"
- "I can take the subway! You are such a slow driver I can actually be there faster."
Spencer stuck out his tongue at her and ran to the elevator, 'cos his friend widened her eyes and ran after him, probably to hit him again.
Morgan and Prentiss stared at the scene in silence, sharing a few looks, both of them thinking the exact same thing: "When are these two goofs ever going to hook up?"
- "They are annoying"- Rossi stood next to Emily's desk and crossed his arms on his chest.
- "They are in love"- she corrected, but David shook his head and sighed.
- "I know, and they are adorable, but it's so annoying staring at the same scene over and over again, waiting for something, anything, to happen between them."
- "Are you turning into a bitter old man who completely forgot about the charm of being young and in love?"- Prentiss raised an eyebrow and turned to Rossi. The Italian stared right into her eyes and shook his head.
- "I'm just saying someone should try to tell them something."
- "I've tried to talk to him about her a million times. But Reid is one private kid."- Derek said from his desk as the three of them stared at Spencer and (Y/N) getting into the elevator, still arguing and playfully playing.
- "And he is so insecure. He doesn't think she likes him."
- "Likes him? She is clearly in love with him!"- Prentiss said, annoyed- "I swear, if nothing happens between them this weekend, I'm going to intervene."
- "Now who is forgetting about the charm of being young and in love?"- Rossi joked and sighed- "Come on guys, dinner's on me."
--
(Y/N)' s dinner was a success. Spencer ate two portions of honey mustard-glazed chicken bake. She even managed to make him eat vegetables. And Spencer didn't even argue. Not only because it was delicious, and his body really needed some homemade dinner. But also 'cos (Y/N) got him wrapped around her fingers, even without knowing it. And if she asked him to eat veggies, Spencer (no matter how much he would argue) would eat his damn veggies. And he could actually enjoy them.
- "Ok, chipmunk, you ate all your food. You earned your dessert"- (Y/N) smiled and picked the dirty dishes from the table.
- "Let me do that. You already fed me. The least I can do is do the dishes."
Spencer followed her moves and took the dishes to the sink. (Y/N) didn't argue with that. It wasn't the first time Spencer cleaned the kitchen with her, after all. They had been good friends, close friends, for a long time, and they were used to being around each other.
But this time, it felt somehow different. Like there was something in the air warning them things were about to change for good.
- "Ok, doc. Do you wanna eat your dessert watching tv for a while?"- (Y/N) handed Spencer an ice cream bowl with chocolate chips on top and some whipped cream.
- "A smiley ice cream bowl?"- Spencer chuckled as he stared at it. He loved it.
- "Yes, you are never too old to eat food with a smile on it. And that's a life lesson, Spencer Walter Reid."- she said and walked to the couch, holding the remote control.
- "You are filled with wisdom, (Y/N)"- Reid teased her and sat by her side.
- "I know. It would help if you let me train you. You would pass your fit test in a blink."- she said and continued surfing channels.
- "Thanks, but no thanks. I wanna do it on my own."- Spencer glued his eyes on the screen and ate his dessert. (Y/N) just nodded and continued surfing channels.
- "Why?"- she asked him after a few minutes. They had been watching an old movie in silence, just eating their ice cream.
- "Why what?"- he whispered and looked at her just for a second. He didn't trust himself around (Y/N), especially under those circumstances: alone in her house. She had changed into leggings and an old extra-large sweatshirt. Her hair was in a messy bun. And Spencer didn't feel able to look at her into the eyes, 'cos he was going to cave in. He was going to grab her face with both hands and kiss her right there. No questions asked.
Which is why he avoided looking at her.
- "Why don't you want me to help you train?"
- "Just because"- he answered and glued his eyes to the screen. But (Y/N) knew better. She moved closer to him on the couch and held his hands. Spencer shivered right away at the sensation of her skin. It was so warm and soft. All he craved was some more of that. He wanted to feel her. Touch her. Taste her.
His head was going way too fast, and just because she held his hand.
- "Spencer, look at me"- she whispered and practically begged her friend to pay her attention- "I just wanna help. It's just a stupid fit test. It ain't hard."
- "For you."- he mumbled and looked down at his hand as her fingers played against his skin.
- "I didn't want you or anyone to help me 'cos I'm a fucking SSA who should be perfectly able to perform a simple fit test on his own. But no. I can't! And do you know what that means?"
- "That finally I know there's one thing you are not good at?"- she answered and smiled at him. Spencer raised his eyes and met hers. He knew his cheeks were all shades of pink, but for once, he just didn't care. He just wanted to look at her and see if she meant it. Or if she was just teasing him.
- "Right"- he snorted and shook his head.
- "I mean it, Spencer. You don't have to be good at everything."
- "It's a fit test. It's basic to be an agent. I need to be able to catch an unsub."- (Y/N) frowned and tried to understand where all that self-doubt and insecurity was coming from. To her eyes, Spencer had nothing to be ashamed of. To her, he was perfect in every single way.
- "You already catch unsubs, chipmunk. Everyday. You don't have to kick down doors to make a profile. And you don't have to run six miles to get the bad guy. Everything that you do every day at work is what an SSA is supposed to do. And you excel at it."
(Y/N) sighed and smiled at her best friend, trying to push aside the urge she felt to kiss him. His golden-brown eyes looked so big, like honey pools, she could stare for a lifetime. Spencer didn't know what to say. He really wasn't good with praises. He wasn't used to them. Not in that way.
- "Besides"- (Y/N) added after a few seconds of silence when she realized she might have said too much and started panicking.
- "It feels good to finally know there is one thing I am better than you at."
- "What are you talking about?"- Spencer answered right away, in the sassiest tone of voice.- "Just because I suck working out doesn't mean you are better. Even at my lowest, I'm still better than whatever you can do in a gym."
Reid was obviously joking. He knew (Y/N) could kick ass. Not only had she saved his life many times on the field, but also, he had seen her working out. And she could definitely kick his ass if she wanted to.
That didn't mean he wasn't going to tease her just because.
- "You take that back, Reid!"- she threatened him and
- "No"- he sentenced and crossed his arms on his chest
- "Last chance. Take it back, or you will pay for it."
- "Make me."
And that was it.
In a second, (Y/N) was on him tickling him, and trying to practice a chokehold on him. But Spencer was faster, and somehow, stronger than her. Maybe it was because he was struggling with himself. A part of him wanted her closer, and a part of him didn't want her too close, 'cos he knew his pants were going to start feeling too tight if she did.
Whatever the reason was, after two minutes of wrestling, Spencer had (Y/N) pinned down against the couch. And the way she panted against the fabric of the cushion wasn't helping him with his pants.
- "Spencer, it hurts"- she cried and tried to move from his grip, but he didn't let her go.
- "If you want me to release you, you have to say I am the best agent in this house."
- "Never!"- (Y/N) quickly answered and continued struggling.
- "Just say it, I've got you held, and I'm not going to let you free until you say it."- something in his tone of voice, it was teasing but also... sexy? (Y/N) knew Spencer wasn't trying to act that way, but it was working for her in a way she hadn't imagined. He would be so soft. And now, there he was, acting like a dominant man, holding her tight, not letting her move, literally pinned against the couch.
If only it were all happening in a different context.
- "Let me go, Spencer Reid!"- (Y/N) battled against his arms, but it was useless
- "Just say it"- he leaned in and whispered in her ear, and (Y/N) sword she could almost feel his smile as he spoke.
- "You are the best agent!! There, happy?"- she mumbled, making her best to sound annoyed and not turned on. Spencer released her, and she quickly sat down properly, rubbing her left wrist.
- "Did I hurt you?"- Spencer whispered and noticed how flustered she was. That was a first.
- "No. But I gotta tell you, you are stronger than I thought."- she said and stuck out her tongue to him, trying to be playful and innocent, though you could feel it in the air. That moment was anything but innocent.
- "Yeah, I've been working out a little bit."- Spencer answered and chuckled at his own words.
- "Well, you are going to have to learn how to control your new strength, 'cos this is going to leave a bruise"- (Y/N) whined and showed him her sore wrist. Spencer winced, ashamed he had been so hard on her without meaning any harm. He moved closer to her and held her wrist carefully. (Y/N) just looked at him as he kissed her wrist a few times.
That man couldn't be real. He was such a tease.
Did he know all the things he was, in fact, doing to her with that simple touch?
He surely had to know. Otherwise, there was no explanation, she thought.
- "Thanks"- (Y/N) whispered and fixed her eyes on his lips, still landing small kisses on her wrist.
That was when she stopped breathing. Spencer was literally breathtaking. He smiled at her, and she just couldn't help it anymore. (Y/N) leaned in and kissed him. It was a soft, short peck. But she had dared to do the unthinkable.
She kissed her best friend.
Spencer widened his eyes, shocked, and looked at her, not saying a word. They just stayed still for a good thirty seconds until Spencer finally made his move, cupping her jaw carefully with both hands and pulling her face against his.
The way she moaned into the kiss made him feel more in control than he had ever been before.
It was a soft kiss but intense. Spencer's lips rubbed carefully against her mouth, and his tongue moved carefully, making its way until he could taste her. (Y/N) moved closer to him until she was basically sitting on his lap, and his arms wrapped around her body, locking her against him.
They were in heaven.
Until it was over. Their phones buzzed at the same time, breaking the spell, ending the charm. (Y/N) jumped from Spencer's arms and grabbed her phone.
- "We've got a case"- she whispered and turned to him. He was agitated, his cheeks were red, his pants felt tight, and he was starving for more of those kisses.
- "Ok."- he replied but didn't move.
- "I'm gonna change, then we can go."- (Y/N) added, but he didn't say a word. To be fair, Spencer wasn't processing what was going on. He was still trying to elaborate a coherent thought. And most of all, he was fighting the boner in his pants that didn't let him stand up.
You could blame all the sugar in his body after the massive bowl of ice cream, or all the praising (Y/N) had given him, but Spencer found a new level of courage in that kiss. He decided it was time to stop overthinking it. It was time to act on his feelings.
- "(Y/N)"- Reid knocked on her bedroom door and heard her from the walking closet.
- "I'm almost ready. Did you talk with Garcia?"
- "No, but I don't wanna leave things like this. I wanted to talk about what just happened."
(Y/N) sighed and took a look at herself in the mirror. She could still feel her cheeks burning after that kiss, after feeling her best friend hard underneath her body, holding her against him. But she wasn't sure she wanted to hear what Reid was about to say. Most of all, because she was sure it was going to be something along the lines: "That kiss was a mistake, you are my friend. I don't wanna ruin this."
- "That kiss was..."- he mumbled and walked to her as soon as she showed up in the room, but words were hard to find when she looked at him that way.
- "Spencer, I..."- she tried to speak, but he just continued.
- "Would you like to..."
- "Pretend it didn't happen?"
- "Go out on a date with me?"- the two of them said at the same time and widened their eyes in shock.
- "What?"- (Y/N) questioned and stared at her best friend in shock- "You want to go out with me?"
- "You want to pretend it never happened?"- he asked her, scared he might have rushed to the wrong conclusions.
- "No, no, no, I don't... I can't pretend it didn't happen"- (Y/N) quickly answered and held Spencer's hand, afraid she might have ruined everything.
- "I was just scared you were going to reject me or..."- (Y/N) bt her lips and dared to look at him- "I wanna go out on a date with you"- she whispered and watched his whole face change as a big silly grin drawn on his lips.
- "Really?"- he murmured, still not sure it was actually happening. He asked her out. She said yes. He was sure that was never going to happen in real life.
- "Really"- she assured him and leaned in slowly to kiss him one more time. But her phone rang again, and so did his. This time it was a message from Hotch. Wheels up as soon as they reached the FBI.
- "But after we catch the bad guy."- (Y/N) added, and Spencer chuckled.
- "Sounds like a plan."

Summary: Anakin teases Obi-Wan about the look he gives you, not knowing it'd help your relationship with Obi-Wan move to the next level.
PART TWO
Tumblr media
(gif not mine!)
"Hello, Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker, Padawan Tano," You smiled softly at the three Jedi's entering your library.
"Hello (Y/n)," The trio said in unison.
"So," You started, walking from your cart where you'd been putting books back into their spots, "How can I help the three of you?"
"Well, we--"
Anakin was quick to cut off his Master, a large smirk on his face, "Obi-Wan wanted to come to see you. He insisted the books Ahsoka would need we'd only find here, even though I got mine from the upstairs library in the temple."
A blush crept onto yours and Obi-Wan's cheeks, making Ahsoka and Anakin smile, "Well, I uh... well."
Ahsoka rolled her eyes, quickly stepping in for Obi-Wan's stuttering clutter of words, "I wanted to come to visit you anyways. I know I still haven't returned that book on the history of the Old Republic."
You smiled at the younger girl, "Oh, it's fine, Ahsoka, I'll extend your date. I assume you need the next level of Jedi books?"
The young girl nodded, "Please."
"Of course, I'll get them real quick."
Anakin smirked, patting Obi-Wan's back in an attempt to make the older man stop giving you literal heart eyes. The Jedi Knight gave his Master a shove, sending him after you as Ahsoka laughed at Master Kenobi's awkwardness. It was something she felt she hadn't truly seen until just now, watching the older man stumble after you with a slight hop in his step.
"(Y/n)!" Obi-Wan called, making you turn to him with a smile, "Sorry, eh.. about Anakin, you know how he can be."
"It's fine Obi-Wan," You felt a blush slowly begin to creep up your neck and onto your cheeks as the Jedi-Master fell into step beside you, "I was hoping you'd come to visit me soon anyways. It's quite lonely being the only one running the lower division of the Jedi Archives."
The older man smiled widely, taking a second to watch you struggle to reach one specific book Ahsoka needed. Smugly, the Jedi used the force to bring the book out and into your outstretched hand. You mumbled a quiet thank you before moving to grab the last book Ahsoka needed.
"(Y/n)," Obi-Wan spoke suddenly, taking the books from your arms and clearing his throat, "I was... I was wondering if you'd like to... grab coffee sometime?"
A smile broke across your face as you nodded, "I'd love that, Obi-Wan."
With that, the two of you walked back towards the younger Jedi's. Obi-Wan handed the books to Ahsoka, and Anakin simply smiled at you, watching the way Obi-Wan's gaze fell back onto you. You made some small talk with Ahsoka and Anakin before the trio declared it was time to leave, and you retreated to your cart, putting away books.
"You have that look," Anakin teased the older man immediately after they sent Ahsoka to drop her books off in her room.
"What look?" Obi-Wan asked, his eyebrows scrunching together.
"You know," Anakin smiled, nudging the older man, "That look."
"Which is??" Obi-Wan questioned, rubbing a hand to his chin.
" Oh please, Obi-Wan, I see the way you look at her, Master. That's how I look at Padme every day," Anakin scoffed, smirking at his Master.
"I have no clue what you're talking about," Obi-Wan replied, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Please!" Anakin laughed, "You know exactly what I'm talking about. You're a flustered little boy around (y/n)!"
"Anakin, someone could hear you," Obi-Wan warned, his eyes looking around casually, "Then we'd both be in trouble."
Anakin smirked, turning to his Master, "Are you saying you're opposed to the idea of leaving the Order for her?"
"N-no..." Obi-Wan sighed, "If she said the word, I'd leave the Order immediately. But she's not my girlfriend."
"Please, Master! You don't fool anyone by saying that!" Ahsoka's voice rang out as she joined the two older men.
Obi-Wan sighed, turning and beginning to lead the two away, "Why am I talking to the two of you about this?"
"Well--"
Obi-Wan quickly raised his hand, cutting off Anakin, "Rhetorical question, Anakin."
⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅
It'd been a few days since your coffee date with Obi-Wan, and it'd become quite routine for him to walk you to and from work each day. His former Padawan picked up on it quickly but stayed quiet on the matter. Anakin didn't want to be scolded by Padme again, not after her lecture about teasing the older man for finally being happy.
Anakin just happened to be lucky enough to live in the same apartment complex as you, so he got to see Obi-Wan drop you off each night, which he enjoyed. Maker knew he couldn't wake up early enough to see Obi-Wan pick you up to take you to work, missing all the quick cheek-kisses his Master would give you.
You knew you liked Obi-Wan immensely, and you felt it was mutual judging by his actions. While you knew Obi-Wan was a Jedi and technically couldn't have any connections, you still hoped that something would change. That the Jedi Master would make a move, confirm it was all mutual, and just kiss you! God, you just wanted him to press his lips to yours! You weren't getting any younger, and the war wasn't getting any better!
"Look," Anakin mumbled, elbowing Padme, "There they are."
"Oh, Ani, won't you leave Obi-Wan alone!" Padme rolled her eyes at her husband's behavior, but she still looked down from their balcony, watching you and Obi-Wan interact.
"Thank you, again," You smiled widely at Obi-Wan, "For the ride."
"Of course," Obi-Wan returned the smile, pulling your hand up to his lips to press a gentle kiss to your knuckles, "It was my pleasure."
"I don't work tomorrow," You reminded Obi-Wan with a slight pout.
His eyes dropped to your lips, admiring the way your bottom lip jutted out just slightly, "That's truly a shame,"
He gulped, his eyes struggling to focus back on yours as he watched your lips move as you spoke, "But I'll see you the day after, right? Early for our coffee date?"
Obi-Wan nodded, smiling softly as his eyes finally locked back onto yours, "Of course."
A peaceful silence filled the air, and like most times when you were left in silence with the Jedi Master, you found your eyes drifting to his lips and wondering what they'd feel like against your own. You knew your 'goodbye' was lasting far too long now, but you hated saying goodbye when you wouldn't see him the next day. After a few more seconds--and noticing that Obi-Wan's eyes were also on your lips--you felt a spike of confidence rise within you, and you let out a dramatic sigh.
"So, Master Kenobi, are you gonna kiss me, or am I going to have to kiss you myself?"
A soft laugh fell from his lips as he quickly leaned across his speeder, pulling you in until your lips met. It was gentle and full of passion, exactly how you had always imagined it. He held you like you were the galaxy's finest jewel as he kissed you, only making you swoon more at the Jedi's lips molded with yours.
Above, Anakin was frantically gripping Padme's arm, who herself, was frozen in shock.
"Oh, maker! Maker! I knew it, kriff I knew it!" Anakin cheered quietly, "I called it, oh, Obi-Wan is so getting teased tomorrow! I knew it! I told you, they're good for each other."
Padme smiled at her husband's childish reaction, "You think so?"
"Please!" Anakin laughed, "They were destined to be together!"
Padme simply giggled, walking back into their apartment with a shake of her head. She couldn't say she disagreed because Obi-Wan and you truly were a perfect pair. A pair that was destined to be together.

Absentmindedly you listen to the person in front of you. Some annoying colleague that is going on and on about a something that you would have done wrong. They had been going on for almost ten minutes and by now, you had stopped listening. Your mind drifted off to happy memories. It was something you did quite often. By reliving old memories once in a while, they would become recent in your mind again, which made it easier to go back to them, when you were feeling low. You thought about your younger self on the back of your brother’s bike, your small arms wrapped around his waist, your head pressed against his back. It had been his birthday and he had gotten a new bike. You didn’t like bikes, but when he asked for you to ride along the neighborhood with him, you gave in. Your childhood was filled with a lot of fear, but your brother always seemed to take that away. He was in almost all of your joyful memories. He was your safe place.
Your phone chimed, snapping you back into reality. You excused yourself from the ‘conversation’ and left the room. Once you close the door, you answer your phone.
“I owe you Nat! You saved me!”
“Hey Y/n… What did I save you from?”
“Some colleague, who was being incredibly tedious.”
“Need me to kill anyone?”
“Uhm… No. But what are you calling about?”
“We got new information about your brother and we need your help with it.” You fell silent for a moment at the mention of your brother.
“Oh... What is it?”
“I’m sorry Y/n, I can’t tell you over the phone. You’ll have to come to the compound.”
“Okay… I can do that. I’ll leave tomorrow morning and be there around dinner time?”
“Perfect. See you then.”
After cooking yourself some dinner you went to your room to pack. You dug deep in your closet to find your weekend bag. It had been a while since your last trip. You don’t travel that much. To be honest, you don’t travel at all. Your daily routine leaves just enough time for your daily work-out, some me-time and occasionally a movie. Staying busy avoids overthinking stuff, or well… overthinking more specific things. It took you a while to build up a routine. Have breakfast, work out, drive to the office, do your work, pretend to listen to the gossip from your fellow colleagues during the lunch break. Not that anything about your life is very challenging, but it’s just enough to keep you satisfied and to survive. Every now and then when you have a day off, you go shopping with a friend.
You are quite the cheerful girl. You are spontaneous and kind, people get along with you. You have a few friends, but none really close. The only close friends or family you have, are Nat, Steve, Tony, Clint, Thor and Bruce and you haven’t seen them in the while.
You had to empty your entire closet, but you finally found your white weekend bag with the subtle, pastel flowers pattern. You smile at it. It had been a gift from Nat. You used to have a boring and old grey bag, so she had bought you a new one. After you throw the bag on your bed, you start to fill it with clothes. You had no idea how long you’d be gone, so you packed for five days. Once your bag was fully stuffed you zipped it closed and threw it over your shoulder, making you way back to the living room.
You throw your bag next to the counter and are just about to get yourself some coffee, when the bel rings. You grab your phone and see Natasha standing in front of your door through the camera. Natasha had bought you a doorbell with a camera, to be sure you were as safe as possible when she wasn’t there. Aware of the camera she smiled at you through it. You chuckle at the sight and walk to the door to open it for her. Moments like this remind you of how amazing Natasha is. She had the key to you appartement, but chose not to use it, so she wouldn’t unnecessarily scare you.
“Surpriseee, figured I’d pick you up myself!”
“Hey Nat, come in!”
You take her jacket and hang it on the coat rack.
“How are you doing?”
“Good, actually. Can I get you something to drink?”
“Just coffee, please.”
“Got it.”
You go back to the counter and get yourself and Nat some coffee. You open the fridge and get two pieces of the pie that is left from your graduation ceremony. With two slices of cake and the coffee you go to the living room. You hand Natasha, who has sat down on the couch, her coffee and put the cake on the side table.
“Oehh, is there something to celebrate?”
“Yup… I got a job!”
“Y/n! I am so proud of you. I knew you could do it!” Tears begin to well in Natasha’s eyes and she puts down her coffee to give you a hug. You bury you head in her neck and let out a small sniff. She knew what it meant for you to get your first real job. The small party one of your friends threw had been basic. Everyone had congratulated you, but Natasha was the only one who truly took her time to express her happiness. She was the only one who knew what it meant to you. It had been a long way, a long, long way, but you made it! You did it!
She had been there with Steve when you graduated. She had driven six hours, just because she knew what it would mean to you, having her there. It had been a surprise, she hadn’t told you she was coming, so when you saw her from the stage you had broken down in tears.
You catch up a bit, after which you both go to bed. You turn the sofa into a bed for Natasha so she can sleep on it, but before you rest your eyes, Natasha helps you fill another suitcase with clothing. She laughed at the sight of your single bag and suggested you’d pack another suitcase.
*** After six hours of sleep Natasha wakes you up. You take the time to get out of your bed, you take a shower and put on some make-up. In a pair of light skinny jeans and a lively orange tank top, that complemented you tan, you sit down at the kitchen island. Natasha had made you breakfast and after you finished it, you got in the car. The ride would take about six hours, so before hitting the road, you stopped at the supermarket to get some snacks and drinks for on the way. After three hours you had a pit-stop at the MacDonald’s to get some lunch. You ordered the food via the McDrive and ate it in the car on the parking lot. When the food was finished you hit the road again. You had switched places, meaning Natasha would finish the drive to the compound. Natasha was still sipping from her milkshake in one hand, her other hand on the wheel. You leaned against the door with you head on your arm. You closed your eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin as you dozed off.
A bump in the road woke you up.
You shot up straight. When you realized there was no danger, you leaned back into you chair, resting you head against the headrest.
“Slept well, princess?” Nat teasingly said.
“Nat!” You stumped her shoulder with your elbow. She grinned, but kept her eyes on the road. A comfortable silence fell and you closed your eyes again, not intending to sleep again though.
“No, but for real. How have you been sleeping?” You knew what she meant. She wanted to know if you still had nightmares. They would still terrorize your nights sometimes. You would wake up sweating and shaking. Wide awake you would sit in the middle of your bed at midnight, tears running down your cheeks.
“Uhm, okay, I guess. Some nights better than others.” She turned her head to look at you, giving you a sweet smile. She laid her hand on your leg, her palm up. You put your hand in hers, giving it a slight squeeze.
“Now we’re talking about sleeping, a few rooms are under renovations, so the rooms are full. You can sleep in Wanda’s room. She has an extra bed on her room.”
“Is she okay with that?”
“I think so.”
“You didn’t ask her!?”
“No, but I’m sure it won’t be a problem.”
“Nat…”
“Just kidding, I told her she would have to share her room with you.”
“And…?”
“She was fine with it.”
*** With your suitcase in your hand, your bag over your shoulder and music in your ears, you enter Wanda’s room. On the right side of the room there’s a king-sized bed with two chairs and a coffee table on the left side of the bed, next to the window that covers the entire back side of the room, providing a view of the trees and water next to the compound. On the left side of the room there is a large wardrobe, a door to the bathroom and in the corner there’s a single bed, parallel to the window. Above the bed there’s a shelf with a plant, some books and a light string. The room wasn’t very decorated, there weren’t many personal items. One wall was painted in a grey tone with a hint of purple and there was a purple bedspread, covering the lower side of Wanda’s bed. On the nightstand was a photo of Wanda, standing next to a boy with white hair. You figured it must be her brother, Natasha had told you about the twins and the tragedy. Apart from the photo and some plants, there was nothing personal in the room.
You walked to the bed you’d be sleeping in and dropped your bags on the floor. You sat down on the bed and with your feet still on the ground you let your back rest on the bed, closing your eyes as you take the time to take in the feeling of home. To be honest you feel more home at the Avengers compound then at your own appartement. After a few minutes you got up from the bed and put on some upbeat music as you start to make the bed.
Singing along to the music cheerfully, you put the duvet in its cover. With both corners of the blanket in your hands you shake the cover over the duvet. With the music in both your ears you didn’t hear someone come in, so when you feel a hand on your shoulder, you are slightly startled. You quickly stop the music and take out your AirPods. You turn around to lay your eyes on a beautiful woman with coper locks flowing over her shoulders.
“You must be Y/n.”
Wanda knew who you were, your name would regularly come up in a conversation. She didn’t know much about you other than your name. You were kind of a mystery to her. She was new to the team and hadn’t personally met you yet. One thing is clear to her, though. No one bothered to mention how gorgeous you were. With a lump in her throat, she looked into your eyes, once you had turned around to face her. The woman that was standing in front of her seemed like a nice, cheerful person. She had a beautiful smile on her face, but there was something in her eyes that showed her happiness hadn’t always been a given. She took her in, her hair up in a high pony tail with curtain bangs accentuating her face, she was wearing an orange tank top, which showed off her tanned skin, on top of light flared jeans and elegant black ankle boots. Jeez, she was beautiful.
“Guilty as charge.” You responded. “It’s my pleasure meeting you…”
Witty too. You reminded her of her brother.
“Wanda.”
“Ah Wanda! Natasha told me so much about you. Nice to finally meet you. Oh, and Natasha said I could sleep here for the time being. Is that okay with you?”
Natasha talked about her? That was a good thing… right? To be honest Wanda was rather intimidated by Natasha. Even though she had been welcomed with open arms into the group, once, you know, she had switched sides, it had been quite hard for her to adjust to the group.
“Yeah, she told me. It’s fine”
“Cool”
“Do you need help with the bed?”
“Oh no, I’m done.”
She noticed the bed was nicely made and saw your weekend bag, half under your bed.
“You can use that dresser if you want, and if you want to hang any of your clothes, you can put them in my closet.”
“Oh thanks!”
“No problem.”
“I was about to start dinner, the rest should be back in an hour.”
“I’ll make sure I’ll be there on time, I wouldn’t want to miss whatever culinary art you intend to make.” You said teasingly.
“Great, I’ll see you in an hour then

my stress reliever
Sub!h x reader
Warnings: smut, oral (male receiving) fluff and some swearing
A/N: so the grammys are tomorrow and I am not prepared physically or mentally, so I decided to write a little something to calm myself. Its nearly 2am so there’s probably a load of mistakes! Pls don’t copy my work. Hope you enjoy!
It was the night before the Grammys and Harry had to admit he was feeling a bit stressed but even more nervous, he was so grateful for the fact that he would not only be opening the show, but that he had been nominated for not one, not two, but three Grammys.
When he got the phone call from his manager Jeff he was over the moon and y/n was jumping for joy, whilst hugging Harry, he was also pretty sure he saw a couple tears slip down her cheeks. That feeling lasted for weeks, but now with less than 24 hours to go the nerves had definitely set in and he didn’t know how to soothe them and had been basking in his troublesome thought for the past 40 minutes.
Y/n was currently out shopping for some essentials but Harry wanted her to be no where else except in his arms, they had both become a bit clingy towards each other during the pandemic, they had heard lots of couples break up or get divorces, but with Harry touring all over the globe and y/n having to stay put for her own jobs hey were more than happy to spend months on end together.
When he heard the front door open he practically leaped up from his spot on the couch, rounding the corner to the hallway immediately spotting y/n carrying multiple bags, still clad in a coat and woolly hat, her cheeks slightly red from the cold air even though it was nearly half way through March.
‘Hiya baby’ she smiles at him
‘Hi angel, missed you’ he said fumbling with the ends of his fingers.
‘I’ve only been gone about half an hour H’ she chuckled slightly, sensing he wasn’t feeling himself and hadn’t been all day.
‘Wanna come and help me put some shopping away’ she asked starting to take her hat and coat off, before getting a nod of the head in return his shy eyes making contact with hers. She ventured her way through to the kitchen, Harry trailing his way behind her like a lost puppy, starting to feel a bit calmer just due to her presence.
They then started to putting items in their allocated places in their kitchen, working like a dynamic duo somehow knowing wherever the other was at each given moment. Once the last item was put away Harry folds away the bags and puts them in a cupboard to be used another time. He then stands there in front of her, strands of his hair falling into his face in which y/n reaches out to push them back, he nuzzled into the slight touch, craving closeness with his girl. He makes grabby hands towards her in which she immediately complied and crashed into his warm chest wrapping her arms round his shoulders, fingers tangling into his hair. He sighed deeply in contentness but with a hint of worrysome into the crook of her neck ‘what’s going on in that head of yours baby’
‘I’m just worrying about tomorrow’ he speaks honestly ‘there’s just loads of thoughts of what could go wrong running through my head, and I can’t stop them’
‘Well I know that once you get out on that stage you are going to take it and rock the hell out of it, cause that’s just you and no matter how much you doubt yourself I know you are going to be amazing no matter what happens, and I think I can speak for pretty much everyone when I say that, you’re incredible baby no matter if you win a Grammy or not, I don’t really care about a shiny piece of metal I care about you’
‘But what if I mess up the words to the songs, or fall over on stage or something stupid like that’ he rushes out.
‘Your overwhelmed baby, and that’s very understandable because you haven’t really been doing a lot of this stuff cause of the pandemic, you just need to get in the swing of things again, but I’ll be there every step of the way, don’t need to be nervous H I’m here’ she cooed as he wrapped his arms around her tighter.
‘Thankyou angel, I love you, don’t know how much I needed to hear that’ he whispered kissing her neck.
‘I love you too, no need to thank me baby, that’s why I’m here, I’ll always be your moral support. If you want I can stand at the side of the stage with banners and everything,’ she says manoeuvring to grab a tea towel to demonstrate, she starts to swing her hips around, her body going in a circle with her hands in the air that was gripping the towel, whilst cheering ‘go H, go baby, go H, go baby.’ This made Harry laugh, a real laugh immediately lighting up the whole atmosphere. He swore he couldn’t live without this girl, who was dancing around the kitchen and would probably actually do what she was demonstrating on the side of the stage whilst he performed at the Grammys, because she cared about him that much.
‘There’s that smile, missed seeing that on your pretty face today’ she smiled right back at him, glad that he was happy again.
She made her way back to him, hugging him once again placing a kiss to the side of his jaw.
‘Wanna go upstairs and get all snuggy?’ She questioned.
‘Yeah, sounds perfect angel’
‘C’mon then’ grabbing his hand and leading them to their bedroom.
When they were half up the stairs y/n suddenly spins to face him again ‘you know, if your still feeling stressed I can help you even more, pretty sure I could eliminate all of it’
‘And how do you plan on doing that angel’
‘Oh my beautiful boy, the list goes on and on’ she says almost seductively.
They both knew where this was heading so they start to rush more up the stairs, excited to get to the bedroom, and as soon as they are and the door is shut behind them, Harry is pushed so his back was against the door before y/n starts kissing his lips hungrily, biting and sucking hickeys onto his neck making him groan ‘wanna be my baby boy tonight, just want to love you on you, make sure you’re totally stress free, how does that sound baby’
He whimpers at her words he could feel his length harden at her words ‘y-yes angel, want you to take control, wanna be your baby boy’
In turn y/n whimpers feeling her panties get wetter and wetter, she backed him up to the king-size bed, their lip connecting and reconnecting, the head in the room seeming to go up about 10 degrees, Harry loved it when y/n had her way with him, taking control of his pleasure, making him cum so hard he saw stars, he swore she was magical, the fact that he was worrying about every little thing about 20 minutes ago and now not having a care in the world, he could have been in the deepest, darkest whole and she still would be a been able to pull him out.
She turns both their bodies so that Harry’s would be the first to hit the bed, she was kissing him so hard it was making his knees buckle ‘do you want to take your shirt off and lay on the bed for me baby boy’ she says in which he quickly complies, lifting the fabric over his head, to see y/n doing the same taking her bra off at the same time, making him practically drool at the sight of her perky tits just begging to be played with.
He laid on the bed following her instructions, waiting for her to come over to him, and when she did y/n let out a small moan at the sight of his fucked out face and she had barely touched him, she loved it when he was like this, letting her take control when the roles were usually reversed, she just wanted to make him feel as good as he made her feel, which was pretty dam amazing.
She leaned over kissing his lips, her tongue diving into his mouth dancing with his own, she pulled away slowly ‘what do you want me to do to you baby’ she asked already knowing the answer ‘want me to play with you cock’
He whimpered and nods, his doe eyes begging her to do something about the tent in his sweats.
‘Use you words baby, wanna hear you say it’
‘P-please angel, want y-you to play with my cock’
‘Okay baby boy’ she reaches down to the tie on his sweats undoing the bow slowly, almost teasing him making him squirm and moan out ‘please touch me angel, m’starting to ache’ she works quicker getting the trousers off of his legs before throwing them somewhere in the room, then going back to pull his boxers down his long legs, his cock finally springing free from its confines and gently hitting his stomach.
Her eyes went wide at the sight of his cock, the tip an angry shade of red leaking precum, the thick veins more prominent, his balls looking deliciously filled with cum, just ready for a release. She lays between his spread legs, wasting no time in gripping his girthy shaft in her hand making Harry throw his head back and stifle out a load moan, she smiled knowing she was making his feel good with only one touch. ‘Who’s made you this hard baby?’
‘You angel, only you’ he moans as she starts bringing her hand up and down his cock, her thumb swirling over his sensitive tip making him groan every time. She then brings her head down, making eye contact with his green orbs as he lifted his up, her lips encased his tip before going down inch by inch until she was about half way, Harry let out a prolonged moan, loving the feeling of her mouth in him. Y/n brought her head up after a few more seconds gasping for air ‘taste so good baby, can’t wait to taste that cum though’ he whimpered his legs spreading even more to give her more room. When she reattached her lips to his shaft she starts bobbing her head up and down, taking him down her throat aswell, her hand tugging the rest ‘feels so good angel’ he says whilst gathering her hair in a makeshift ponytail.
At this point y/n panties were soaked, she managed to get a little stimulation by grazing her clit on the rough fabric of her jeans, making her hum in delight around his cock. She brings her other hand down to his balls, rolling them in her palm. She then comes off his cock with a pop, taking one of his balls into her mouth instead, changing between the two all whilst tugging his cock.
‘M’gonna cum if you keep doing that’ his legs starting to shake around her
‘Well that was my aim, baby’
‘wanna have you wrapped around me when I cum, please angel’ he whimpered
And with that y/n was already unbuttoning her jeans and pulling them down her legs, because how could she say no to him, her clit was starting to throb aswell, she smiled knowing that it wouldn’t take long for them both to cum, she straddles him bringing her lips to his once again, he grabbed hold of one of her tits massaging it before tweaking her nipple making her whimper into his mouth. She becomes desperate pulling away quickly before gripping his shaft and lining him up with her entrance, sinking down onto him with ease because of how wet she was. They both let out prolonged moans, loving the feeling of being wrapped around each other ‘pussys so fucking tight, s’like you were made for me’ he moans out, ‘think your cock was made for me too baby boy, stretches me out soo good’ placing both hands on his chest, she whimpers slowly lifting herself up before going back down, making a slow pace. They were moaning in unison the only sound in the room, and small whimpers of ‘baby’ and ‘angel.’ y/n brings her hand down to her clit starting to make small circles, knowing she wouldn’t need much to topple over she was amazed at how fast her orgasm was creeping up on her ‘m’gonna cum baby boy, you close’
‘Yes m’so close, your gonna make me cum so hard’ his legs starting to shake again, one of his tell- tale signs.
‘Cum with me baby’ y/n says not holding back anymore, with a few more thrusts and circles to her clit she was cumming, she whimpered the words ‘baby boy’ over and over, that’s when Harry toppled over he felt his cock twitch and with that he was releasing ribbon after ribbon of cum inside of her, he stopped breathing, his eyes rolling to the back of his head, toes curling, legs shaking practically screaming profanities. He felt like he was on cloud nine, he was gasping for air, a faint ringing in his ears.
Y/n leaned down to his chest kissing a few spots, now utterly exhausted ‘you okay baby’
‘Never cum so hard in my life angel, felt incredible’ he breathes out a lazy smile on his face.
She slowly lifted herself off of him, knowing he would be sensitive before laying down beside him ‘thankyou angel’ he whispers to her
‘What for?’ she asks
‘For making me forget all of my worries, for being my stress reliever, probably would have lost it by now if I didn’t have you’ he says sweetly. ‘I don’t know what I do without you either baby’ she says kissing his lips and then pulling his head to her chest, he nuzzled into her, his long arm draping the duvet over them, before gripping onto her waist.
‘Now go to sleep my beautiful three time Grammy nominated boyfriend, you’ve got a big day tomorrow’
